Thankyou Bishop Greg. Your words are echoing my own desire. I long for God as he longs for me. I am who I am because HE IS WHO HE IS... when He said; "I AM WHO I AM". This for me is knowing LOVE Incarnate in Christ Jesus, which is beyond understanding.. it just IS. Food becomes unimportant. I read somewhere that St. Therese forgot to eat.. surely it was because she was already filled with LOVE Himself. "I want to be LOVE in the HEART of the CHURCH" she once said. Money, possessions, status, power all become unimportant.. there remains only GOD, LOVE in me and round me, in others, above me in the beauty of the heavens, surrounding me in the beauty of nature, the whisper of the sea's waves, a humid night with a gentle breeze wafting round me.. GOD's Spirit breathing into me His LOVE, His Spirit.. what else can I say Bishop Greg? These things He has gently taught me over many years. If only I could help others to find Him. May He be Blessed and Praised for ever, amen

I learnt little this year compared to previous lenten talks series by your diocese. Focus on the direct relationship between you and the Holy Trinity. Focus on God the Father. It's not about St. John of the Cross Edith Stein or Teresa of Avila. Your role model is Jesus Christ, the saviour of the world and you as a person

Abraham, It appears your Religion is in your head and not in your Heart. A life in the Spirit seminar would be very beneficial and bring you into a closer relationship with Jesus.

@@davidnevin5515 I have done those. Lent is a time to reflect on the salvation history and why Jesus sacrificed his life. Religious tend to focus on their orders saints. The religion is not about this saint or that saint, Carmelite or Franciscan or Salesian for example. The focus should be on Jesus who should be the role model. Sadly we distract the meaning of the season. It was rather poor this year compared to previous years. I couldn't even find the.links between the four talks. Perhaps the bishop was distracted affected and lost confidence because of the floods. He sounds tired and his confidence deflated. But floods happen everywhere in Lismore, northern Queensland, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia (mud flows), Peru etc

You can always learn from those who lived an intense relationship with God and therefore they became role model for us
