Love this! So elegant.
Thank you so much!
Great video .all of the information regarding the pocket size and glue is helpful. One question I had was how early on can we make this? Can we do it the day before tye event ? Will the cardboard and leaf base get soggy ? How best can we store it?
Those are all wonderful questions, Anjana! We love this wonderful pocket square boutonniere, and it's so easy to create and store for the big day. You can make this flowers to wear piece the day before the event, and it should store well in the cooler if you place it in a box or bag. Just be sure to let the floral adhesive dry completely before you store it. Leanne chose materials that are both beautiful and durable if they have been hydrated well ahead of time. The aspidistra leaf is an incredibly long lasting foliage so it won't get soggy, and it will protect the cardboard. We hope you enjoyed this wonderful boutonniere video, and we have one more that might be helpful too: ua-cam.com/video/A9HKsQpT6Fw/v-deo.html Wishing you all the best and please have a splendid week working with flowers!
Love this Leanne!! I can’t help but wonder about the size of suit pockets- is there any way to be sure the “card” base isn’t too big? I’ve been looking for a way to get out of wiring and taping Boutonnière’s- this is probably it!!
Thank you so much! The standard suit pocket is 2 1/2" x 4" hope that helps.
Hi there I'm an event planner from Jamaica and I'd like to know where to source wholesale blooms in particular the infamous cut phalaenopsis orchid stems.
Thank you,
Raheem.

Any alternative glue that you suggest?
That's an interesting question, Michelle! We still use cold glue (Oasis Floral Adhesive) for so much of what we do because it holds things together in the cooler. The supply chain challenges make it hard to get at the moment, but we do expect that to change at some point. Keep checking with your wholesalers to see if they have gotten any in. When we have it available again, we'll post it here on our website: www.floraldesigninstitute.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_18&products_id=191 Thanks so much for stopping by to watch our show, and we look forward to seeing you again soon. Wishing you all the best and please have a marvelous week!
