  • Ever wonder what the first arcade video game was? Based on an early computer game from the early 60’s, released in 1971, Computer Space was designed by Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney to be a lower cost option to bring the game out of the computer lab and into the arcade. The white prototype cabinet was displayed at electronics shows and even made an appearance in the movie Soylent Green. After seeing how Computer Space performed in public, Nolan and Ted formed Atari the next year and made Pong… and the video game industry was born.
Come on down to Billy's Midway Arcade and try it for yourself.
