This is not really intended. I am obviously not a native speaker and I know that the exact dividing line between town and city depends on yous locaction, UK/US and even the specific US state. So I tend to prefer the term town. For me a city is just a town with the additional property of being large. Might not be common usage, but hey, my English has bigger flaws.
@@frankexplores4794 C'mon, don't take it too seriously, thanks for the video anyway :) I just think that Athens is too big and important to be just a 'town' :)
Thanks! Unfortunately I had only four days in Athens. We actually considered visiting Elefsina but the town did not look too interesting from the information I could find on the web,, aside from its historical significance of course. Maybe just bad marketing. Peloponnes and some of the islands are definitely on my list of places to go, maybe next year.
@@frankexplores4794 Elfesina is a rather ugly city, rotten with oil companies. Actually it was sarcasm, because this city has been elected cultural capital of the culture for this year 2023... and sincerely, it is questioning. It was a reminder with this nice city of Veszprem that you presented. The peloponese is indeed absolutely beautiful and magical. I am lucky enough to live there at the moment. Good luck with the rest!
From my point of view it is absolutely not worth taking the cable car. You walk about 20 minutes from the ground station to the top and have great views. Of course it takes a bit longer on the trails I walked in the video.
Never eat in Lycabettus. It has the most expensive, worst quality food in the world. Such restaurants should be closed immediately. A 65-year-old Athenian tells you this.
This was the best video ! Thank you and I subscribed to your channel and will explore! :) OPA!
I like how he calls it a 'town'

@@spiritusdivinus Oh, I didn't get the sarcasm. So it was the right decision not to visit that place. :)
How long does it takes to hike up to the top?

@@frankexplores4794 thank you, will try the hiking way😊
