  • thanks for checking out my hidden hut ruin on Mt Kunanyi/ Wellington area....special thanks to Peter Franklin appreciate the info given 👍😎🍻
starting from the CollinsVale mettle forest carpark I walk up over 1,000m elevation to Collins bonnet hut where I start to decide which way to go to find this hidden hut ruin, once I find it I'm in oar of the place and it's serenity, nothing to much just my 94th hut I've found around Tassie so only 6 to go to make it 💯..thanks for watching leave me a comment also like and subscribe for new content revolving hiking and huts...thanks again see you all on the next adventure 🍻👍😎🏕️🥾

that's a great little bit of history, and you did the right thing as it'll fade away to nothing all to soon if it doesn't get looked after.
have you checked out 'sama' hut beyond the scout hut/big bend?

@@TasHikingAdventures Yeah, wet feet suck! Enjoy your travels.
Things are going great, it is a fantastic place. Beautiful scenery all around, not as good as Tassie though 😉 Take it easy.

What a hut it would have been!
    Built into its surrounds,
    Sheltered as.
    Did it have a fireplace?
Assume it would have, couldn't see any charring or chimney remains.
    Thanks for sharing

Yeah she would of been good, don't see any evidence of a fireplace but that's not to say there wasn't one, I didn't see any charcoal but I'll have a better look when I'm up there again, great views too would of been a cosy hut to stay in no wind at all was a perfect spot 😂

Yea Pingrapple grass. You are in wet lands. 😂
Edit: they must have used a Hellicopter to get that gear in there. 😊
