    I actually manage Lonetree Lake Club connected to TPC. Drones are a game changer for monitoring subsurface debris and floating safety hazards. I’m also a licensed drone pilot. Come out and fly anytime

    Excellent video. I've been contemplating a Drone U subscription. Is it $57/mo on a month to month basis or is it annual and just broken down to the cost divided by 12, etc? Thanks, and keep up the good work.

    Measuring stockpiles is one thing but measuring the amount of concrete that has been poured during a day, week or whatever, I've never heard of that being done with drones. I can't really envision how that would be done realistically and efficiently.

      Mavic 3 enterprise, DJI Avata and Mini 4 Pro for some social media stuff.

    • @jerrodlopes186

      @@MrLoaded21he told you. Being capable of producing social media content is an integral part of the construction contract. The M3E does the surveying, and the Avata and M4P handle the social media side of things.

      So does your company pretty much own the market in Colorado? lol Everywhere I look as far as sites that post drone jobs, there is like nothing posted in Colorado lol I’m in Colorado Springs. Or do I need to learn surveying and these software programs and submit bids thru actual Commercial Contracting bidding sites?

    Hello, very informative video. Let me ask you some pricing questions (strictly generic, I understand "different parts of the country"). How does on set up their pricing for services. Would you itemize the Pilot as an item, flight time or hourly cost, total package pricing, and / or just go by piece rate. Last but not least what is a low ball figure for the Operator, an example would be: I get a little job from a construction company and they want me to basically scan the before and after pictures of a Dollar General Store and create photogrammic style deliverables for them, is $350 too low or is $3000..00 too high? Everything is based on a generic scale. Any info would be great, I am glad I found the channel.

      This is something we recently talked about on a coaching call. We even went over a brochure by a fellow pilot. Pricing has to be done by deliverable. Think about it, the deliverable will dictate how much time flying or processing or both. It will also showcase the difficulty. We recommend creating a video based menu. Include Weekly Orthos and cover up to 40 acres for a cheap price to get them in the door. Offer orbital video, I'd also highly recommend offering hyperlapses. A mini 3 pro can shoot them and the marketing team loves them. Ultimately though you could provide fully edited marketing videos from the stuff you shoot. The deliverable matters. One instructor of hours does a construction job for $1200 a week, (350 acres) ortho at 350', orbital video and edited photos. No video editing.

    I'm not here to nit pick, but I do work with many ex-military service members. I would like to add that at times their confidence outsizes their practical competence not to be rude to service members in general. So just wanted to ask ya what you meant by that part at 3:12 cause I paused to play that part back. They do not have a lack of confidence so should I quit now?

      You can make more money if you have the confidence to market yourself rather than relying on one of the recommended companies to be the middle man Is what I'm assuming he meant.

      There is an absolute issue with people overstating their capability to create various digital products, we have seen that, our clients have seen that. Albeit the guys/gals who typically have the greatest technical where-withall typically struggle the most to be confident when selling themselves and their services. Confidence goes a long way in the sale, but your ability to back it up is just as important.

    • @DroneU
      @DroneU  2 місяці тому

      Mavic 3 what? Enterprise Yes. But a Mavic 3 classic or cine or Pro won't allow you to fly autonomous missions. You can setup waypoint missions adn slowly and meticulously acquire data, but you can't run a single grid acquisition mission, a double grid or oblique mission.

    One thing confused me a little.. the discussion of not orthorectifing orthomosaics and other drone deliverables but then going on to talk about AeroPoints/Propeller, Esri, etc. Those kinds of services are all about orthorectifying.

    • @DroneU
      @DroneU  2 місяці тому +1

      Well look some companies (engineering and surveying) are most likely always going to use aeropoints to geo-reference a data set, which typically includes orthorectification. This represents a much smaller population than what we are seeing broadly speaking. The lower end jobs typically do not require aeropoints, higher end jobs probably will.
