The whole Tracker album is amazing. I had a hard time to listen to the other albums in the box set because I always had the Tracker album on the turntable. Silver Eagle is indeed one of those songs you can keep listening on repeat because it is just so dreamy and beautiful.

Hey Neil- sitting here at my kitchen table in tears listening to this and reading replies- another that I never tire of is Traveling to Philadelphia……still sends shivers down my spine. I drive by markers for the Mason Dixon line and I wonder if he was on a tour bus in the USA, wondered what it was and looked it up and came up with this beautiful song. I love Mark Knopfler playing but l have been trying to emulate this playing ,only now just realising that it’s being played by two acoustic guitars. I have spent hours trying to hear how this melodic tune is played. I should have watched more of Marks playing and not just listened.
