While Anna Moffo was in her vocal prime many of us, old and younger, feel that hers was the most beautiful lyric soprano operatic voice to be found, and that she was also an all- round great musician and interpreter!
what does that have to do with leontyne?
Gentlemen, I should have added to my spiel above that, in my opinion and that of many others, Anna Moffo''s recordings of much of the lyric soprano standard operatic repertoire were, overall, the best of her era - and since! Price's version of "Je dis..." is indeed a very fine one, but if you compare it with A.M.'s I think most will agree that the latter is even finer.

Some idea like that couldn't even have crossed her system of interpretation , be careful with the comparison you make please ! And learn to appreciate beauty , HIGH QUALITY instead of trying , very clumsily to undermine what you heard for it's so Beautiful !!!
Actually Joan Sutherlands version is my favorite. The voice just booms over the orchestra. But still its harsh to just mention another singer without even acknowledging the artist who youre listening to. We all have preferences and for the sounds we enjoy but it felt disrespectful
