      He definitely had a powerful voice. My mom (Marilyn) talked about him all the time, he was my uncle but I only got to see him when I was a child. I wish I could have been around him as an adult. I have so many family members that I have never met because we all live in different states.

    James McCurdy was also one of the Original Violinares. He has been going strong, traveling all over the world. He is also well known across Europe, where they play him on television Everyday!!!!! God Bless Bishop James Mccurdy to keep singing, preaching, and writing straight out of Heaven. Although he is older now, He still has his Vocal ability and range, as if he was 18 years old!!!!!!

    To the original Fantastic Violinaires Families this was a singing gospel group of men here like no other they swept the nation with the voices they had and none could compare to them either. On behalf of all of their listners and supporters back in the day we value their recording even until today thanks for sharing them with us as they traveled across the states. God bless you from your sister in Christ in Hammond, LA.

    Great one!
    I sang a few shows wth McCurdy; he was awesome! Seems like thisis a vid of my early days with the Violinaires ..can't quite tell if that's me in mustard colored suit walking behind Blair before the song.
    When Blair first introduced me to McCurdy, he had him show me that high note you just heard. McCrudy was known for hitting those topmost notes on the earlier albums. Shot would be singing that smooth tenor ont top, then suddenly they would rise, with McCurdy flipping topside.

    hey fans please stop responding to the negative comments you dont have to validate the fantastic violinaires legendary national recording artist to a person who has not even scratched the surface of purpose on their own lives.....

    • @jonahbooth869
      @jonahbooth869 4 роки тому +1

      People will always say things in order to validate themselves or their belief system! Personally, I understand people from all walks of life but if I don't agree with a person, the very last thing I will do us follow them. People who have been hurt in some way assigns blame for their issues to everyone in their paths of Life! They wred hurt in or by the Church and they are upset at the Church as a Whole! They leave the Faith and the rest of us are feeling the pain of their Wake! Not fair to us but let's Love and pray that they find peace! Men and Women who sibg the Gospel are like the Preachers, Church that hurt them! They see, just Us; I pray that Love brings them back to GOD! BLESSINGS 🙏

    @jcart91 The "new fellows" featuring Titus Stallworth on lead (also known as "Li'l Blair") are more of a "tribute group" in that Titus actually tries to sound as close to Blair as he can.....we all know that Robert Blair's voice was one of a kind....and hard, if not imposssible, to duplicate.....Titus does a Fantastic job. I've seen them live and they are awesome!

    The vocals were not tight. However, that three piece band was on point!!! Bobo and Tito were laying down. That lead fell in good with the cords being laid down. That was old school. They did not need six to eight musicians.

    I understand your love for the original Vilonaires but i think you need to learn who Lil Blair and the new Vilonaires are before you belittle them. Atleast the new Vilonaires had the respect for Robert not to imitate him while he was living. Give them that much. There is nothing wrong with carrying on someones legacy if you have the talent to do so and so far ,no one else have come as close as the new Vilonaires. So lighten up please

    I feel sorry for your un-Christ-like ranting. The Lord will one day help you find peace.
    BTW, we wrote most of the songs on all our CD's except for the Tribute Album to Blair and Lil Shot, "These are our flowers".
    Just so you know ... most artists don't write their own songs ... they have "writers" for that. :)
    One day you will find peace and love in your heart as Christ did.
    Be Blessed! :)
