I remember a couple of years back when this channel was a warm hearted, well wishing guy that taught you loads about raw denim from getting hits on older Vlogs. All with that slightly Covid cool gloom "Hey we're stuck here so let make the most of it" semi-bachelor vibe. How it's come along: branding, accessories, new bird, new flat and a little one. Glad you're doing well fella. It's a good thing that the last couple of years have generated such positive change for many people. Just a slight nostalgia, with my 2 pences worth: please don't turn this into a tart's boudoir. Some minimalism would do you some good if I may be so bold. Core raw denim values and all that (as Stevenson Overall as opposed to Evisu for the metaphore).

Heavy denim are excellent in the winter. With my lighter weight denim I wear merino leggings underneath, but it's just not an optimal solution. I have a pair of OldBlue 24 oz from back when they still sold unsanforized in the states. Love them and cant wait for the winter time when they become practical again.

Fuck me, congrats to you and your missus. Wow, puts what we do into perspective. I was writing this when you dropped your bombshell: Matt, do this minimalist suitcase please because like yourself I'm not a minimalist and I'm going down to London shortly for a week. To ensure I can't take as much as usual I bought a 30" canvas waxed duffel bag, so everything I'll be wearing down there will be in the bag together with all the usual stuff. So a video on that would be timely. Anyway, congrats again and I wish the three of you all the best for the future. Superb!
Surely looking forwards do the minimalist video, not in the hope that we are gonna just go minimalist but imo it’s nice to look at the wardrobe and really think what is essential need, either for styling or easier life in the morning.

Huge congrats brother.! Also love the idea of a minimalist wardrobe and would be keen for some inspo.. I have 875 boots, hiut jeans and a McNair shirt.. But I’m quilt of fast fashion when it comes to sweaters / hoodies / and t shirts so some solid quality ideas there please!.
Cheers from the French Quarter! Ric and I have a huge stash of jeans, and denim jackets, which we are now digging out and sifting through. These have been in storage for twenty years or so, still in good condition. Rivets, zippers, button fly, tabs, one pocket, two pocket. The works. LEVI-LEE-WRANGLER...Distance and weight of these items being two considerations for traveling anywhere, we still managed to do a 'test run': Ric was able to hook up with someone at BUFFALO EXCHANGE, here in New Orleans. We have a few questions, and will be back to you shortly, soon as husband... is done writing them down.

I like the idea of comparing a good pair of selvedge to a fashion jean. And I'll admit I have a couple of pairs of Armani's. They're just the plain dark wash versions of a straight and slim cut, I rarely buy anything pre-distressed. I actually enjoy wearing them as they're really soft and comfortable. The denim does seem quite thin though. They cost me £110 each at the time, I think they retail for £140 now. Looking forward to the comparison video.
I have a pair of Just Cavalli that i got for £40 in TK maxx that were originally £210, while i got Oni for £200 on sale and yeah the Oni from redcast heritage is Superior, the JC is not worth it, I also got momotaros for £170 from Cultizm, havent worn them yet, but im sure they are also way better

Hey man, can I ask you a question that is completely unrelated to this video, but about boots? You own both Novesta trainers and Red Wing, yeah? My Novestas are in size 45 / UK 10 and fit me really well. I assume that's a US 11. Should US 10.5 in Iron Ranger fit me hypothetically?
