This piece had not been performed since its premiere at the Palladium in Hollywood in 2018. One can only imagine how excited the crowd was when this intro played. Fans who witnessed the performance still speak of their excitement.
Great reaction. This was a rare live performance of this song (it is all in English, we still don't have the official lyrics but they were a bit more clear in the Budokan shows so Papa Xan has done a good job with his subtitles on the Reactor Resource version). They had only ever played it live one time before this at the Hollywood Palladium in the US in 2017 and we only had fancam videos from there. With the 10 Budokan shows the fans mounted a bit of a campaign to have this song included and we finally got the DVD Pro-shot video we had wanted for so long. As this song was only on the international edition of Metal Resistance it was the only song from the first two albums that they did not play over the course of their two nights at the Tokyo Dome in 2016. I understand it was played over the sound system while the people were leaving at the end of the show. The Japanese edition had 'Syncopation' instead ... another great song but completely different to FDTD.
BabyMetal is just damn amazing. If they tour in the states in 2023 I’m going to as many shows as I can. They just released their Metal Kingdom video. Check it out. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🖤🖤🖤🖤
He already did Metal Kingdom. Unfortunately their US shows are nothing like in Japan. Normally they do small 2k~ venues unless they opening for a bigger act. I will still be going to any near me.
I do believe though that BabyMetal played the forum in Los Angeles where I live and that’s way more than 2k. The forum seats 17,500 and it was packed during BabyMetals concert.
Thanks for coming back with more BM songs. This is the song many of us are finding resemblance with METAL KINGDOM except for the dubstep elements of course. This song was performed along with Syncopation in the middle of setlist during Doomsday III and IV, for me still got that epic and ethereal vibes and it shows a mature side in BM second album, Metal Resistance. This is a long time waited proshot version for the fans, song was pushed to be performed again after many years and being played only one time at Hollywood Paladium in 2017 while on US tour when YuiMetal was still in the group, sadly for copyright disputes that proshot version never saw the light and we only have fancams of that. Thankfully they performed this last year at 10 Babymetal Years Budokan, and surprised everyone with this astonishing and beautiful production. Momoko Okazaki was the avenger helping to fill the third spot and she did a great job, that's why she deserves to become an official member. Also the English lyrics is a little bit more clear thanks to Papa Xan from BMRR (although this version is from a rare edit so it's not the original clip, that's why you don't get blocked), but we don't have official lyrics yet, is one out of three songs with full English lyrics. Like someone said before, MoaMetal is like a body subtitles for this song. Just like you said the breakdown is dubstep or brostep, is a genre widely know and popular around 2015 thanks to Skrillex among others, he actually become very good friend with BM and even invite them to perform during a Skrillex show in Japan playing a remix version of Gimme Chocolate!! Thanks for sharing this and see you next time 🦊🤘🔥
Nice reaction. This song is in English. But nobody has figured out all thr lyrics. Making it very hard to say what song is about. I gave up on that. And now I follow what Su said. Don't think, feel. Babymetal smash this song. And to think this was the bonus track on the world release of the album. While the domestic version had another song. The performances from the 10 years of Babymetal at the Budokan are amazing. And they sound great on headphones.
Nice one! It's very rare to find Su-metal singing in falsetto. The only previous time was during another rare and unique performance of "Tsubasa wo kudasai" (Please, give me wings) from the show Legend D on December 20th 2012 (Su's 15th birthday). But here she belts those crazy notes and it's even more amazing, 🤯 Definitely, one of my favorite songs as well.
Killer song. Haven't seen this performance before. Loved your reaction good comments and really positive energy. Totally in sync with the music. Nice job!
Ever since I heard this song, I've been asking if theres any other song or group that does this kind of sound... That kind of ethereal vocal with bit of dubstep and epicness..... Thankfully Babymetal is delivering for 2023, since their songs Monochrome, Divine Attack and Metal Kingdom has this kinda vibe.... I can't wait till their new album drops.🤘🦊🤘
FDTD is a great song. Its a shame that it gets performed live so rarely. Maybe Su finds it hard to sing live? Its only on the international version of the album, so this was a rare performance of it in Japan. My number one live performance as of last week is Metal Kingdom at Makuhari Messe (because I was there and it was mind blowing), but prior to that it was Shine at Legend M.
Love this - but every time I look at this sort of stuff from them atm with the exception of Monochrome listening to the other 2 tracks my heart sinks a little (still a beautiful voice of course) - this (as usual) for me is a real arm hair raiser. I REALLY hope those songs are different live (they usually are) and I can feel something of the band :D
You had some real joy on your face. That is the power of BABYMETAL. 🤘🦊🤘
Metal that makes you smile👊🏽⚡️One of my favorite as well.
FDTD for me is an artistry masterpiece. The mixing of this song together with Su-Metal synthesised vocals create a twilight zone atmosphere like it's coming from outer space 🚀. "FDTD" is exclusively available for the International audience and the Japanese audience got "Syncopation".
International Edition got From Dusk Till Dawn from the Babymetal Metal Resistance Album. Japanese Exclusive got "Syncopation". Easily one of my favourite. For FDTD its more futuristic synthesis, that's how I feel. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🇯🇵🇸🇬
From Dusk Till Dawn:-
Overview Lyrics:-
One only waits
Something's going to come in one's way
I want to take every going on toward what to take
Something's going to come
In the air
Pray upward
In the air
In the air
On the border
Don't stop for love (something's going to come)
On the border
Don't stop for love (something's going to come)
Dream
Love
Forever
Heart
Gone night
Tomorrow
You wanna mean
Look at my face
More day after day
Then reach it's the same
So each day's so same
I wake from the dream
To keep on dreaming
The night is so sweet
But it's so late, break
All it's over
Never rule her
All it's over
Never rule her
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
In the air
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
In the air
Songwriters: Kei Kobayashi / Takehiro Mamiya / Yuuya Shimizu

Dammit. I forgot to drop my volume again. XD

From Dusk Till Dawn is the only BABYMETAL for which no official lyric has been released.

Great reaction man, FDTD is something else fr the only song that gave me such as powerful or similar vibes was Metal Kingdom
Dawg you right it does sound similar

Nice reaction. You should hear Kingslayer by Bring me the Horizon.Probably joy and surprise are given to you.

The lyrics in the subtitles are wrong. in the end → “in the air” is the correct lyric. Thank you for your reaction to babymetal.
