- Try Affinity Photo, Designer and Publisher free for six months - no strings attached!
Millions have already switched to Affinity for photo editing, illustration, graphic design and page layout on Mac, PC and iPad. Find out why by downloading the extended free trial from affin.link/trial - even if you’ve tried it before.
Our CEO Ashley Hewson explains why we’re making this unprecedented offer…

Six months free trial is insanely good, can strongly suggest anyone who's been on the fence to give it a try!
As a professional designer with a long Adobe history, I can attest that the "switch" _can_ be made, and very successfully at that. If you're on the fence, don't be. Invest the time, and the very little coin, to ditch the 800 pound gorilla of software rental and preposterous TOS.
Totally agree!
The switch can be made, depending on the work you're doing. Every software has unique features that you can't get elsewhere and that is certainly true for Adobe. If that wasn't true, then everybody would have already left Adobe. I've been using Serif software since the early 2000's and I still use Adobe software because I need it. Even with subscription pricing, and high cost before subscription pricing, I still had to use it.
@@KuttyJoe _Many_ companies have stuck with, or more accurately _are_ stuck with, Adobe because creatives refuse to learn anything other than what they already know. Why should they? They're not paying! It's a vicious circle: pay the absurd RENTAL fees to satisfy the creatives; creatives don't learn anything new. I know this _very well._ This six-month trial is genius marketing and, combined with the soon-to-be-free use for nonprofits and schools-and Adobe's insane TOS-things are changing substantially.
@@LV4EVR So what about me? Why didn't I leave Adobe? If I've been using Serif's products for decades, then surely I'm not the person who is "too lazy to learn something else". I mean, I've already told you very clearly why, but you ignored it and rolled out your prepared statement about companies.
@@KuttyJoe If you're using both, you're more of an exception than the rule. And if you're paying, and okay paying forever for the rental of software ... well that's your choice. Nothing prepared here, friend, just many years of real world experience as a designer and director with larger companies and agencies.
That's such a clever move actually. You got the right timing for this. I hope this all works out in your favor
Six months free. This is unprecedented.
It is. Clip Studio Paint also has a six month trail. The chances of Adobe offering something like this are zero. Not that i would use their stuff anyway.
@@allanm6246 Right? I dont want their stuff for free! Thanks for mentioning Clip Studio Paint - will give it a shot. Maybe I'll add it to my Affinity license!
Dear Affinity Team, please don't shift to a subscription based system later on. I think you will build a very loyal customer base if you treat them accordingly. Thank-you
Agree! Hopefully, Canva won’t destroy a good thing.
This is my biggest concern with Canva ownership. Canvas business model is a subscription one. I hope they leave the Affinity suite alone however they are beholden to their shareholders and eventually they will want to see profits rise, so it may be inevitable. I hope it doesn't but the history of companies not ruining a good thing are few and far between.
I switched to Affinity many years ago - from the dreaded Adobe of course :D Right after Affinity had its very first version on Windows. Never even thought of going back to Adobe. Affinity is way smoother, quicker, snappier, saves way smaller files with the same content and the interoperability between apps is top notch. Stop worrying, give it a try. Most of the Adobe fame comes from long history and urban legends but unless you have VERY specific needs for some 1 or two options that Adobe offers - not only you can switch but you can find working in Affinity much more gratifying!
Wow! Hey, Affinity. I see you. I know exactly what you’re doing, and I love it!
Affinity is the new standard. I appreciate Serif for their fair pricing and perpetual licensing model.
I purchased the entire suite and I have no regrets whatsoever.
me too, lets hope it stays that way!! Canva bought out Serif earlier this year.
Me too
@@R-1. Agreed!
@@R-1. 100% they will at least do a partial subscription in a few years, build that up then go full on, you know thats gonna happen.
@@TerranigmaQuintet Affinity’s parent company Serif were bought up in March of this year so this could mean a change is on the horizon at some point. Only time will tell
This might just work!!!!! I just shared a link with my work colleagues. Finger crossed!
Using this software has been the best decision I've made regarding moving away from the other subscription tools. Thanks!
I have a perpetual licence. Peace of mind!
If you drop an animation app, there will be no more competition
Interesting how Affinity likes every comment under this video which has a couple of thumbs up, except for the ones which mention an animation app. It’s almost as if they’re hiding something 🤔
Well done. 6 month is what someone needs to try a new software that requires changing workflow and habits. I bought your software 4 years ago. It was a no-brainer because of the of subscription free nature of it.
I’ve been using Affinity for years now. Love your guys dedication to the end user. Well worth the money for the suite.
I already own the suite but what you guys are offering is amazing 💗
I hope you became the standard for the industry
I cancelled my Adobe CC last week and just got my Affinity Suite for the IPad for like $20. For me this will be just a hobby. Can't wait to see the new tutorials. I need to learn this stuff from zero.
If only all companies can be this open. Great move ! I already own a suite license, so cannot take advantage of this offer, but kudos to you !
As an Affinity customer since 2015, all I can say is that I'm extremely happy with their products. The quality/price ratio is unbeatable. Thanks for providing such an amazing creation suite!
This is a great news for new users. I just upgrade from V1 to V2.
It is only a year, and the V2 is already at 2.5 which is quite fast. I remember V2 was introduced when V1 reached 1.9 or 1.10.
I'll wait to see if the V3 will be introduced when V2 reaches 2.10, and how Affinity and Canva can keep their promise or not as well.
If they do, I'll upgrade from V2 to V3 and keep using Affinity.
Cheers from Russia. Sanctions didn't stop me from buying your great software!
how one can install Affinity to Ipad?
We need an After Effects alternative from Affinity. That'd be the final blow to Adobe.
There has been one for some time: The Fusion module within DaVinci Resolve. This way you can kill Premiere at the same time and get the best color grading tool on the market.
Yes!! That’s what’s stopping me from canceling my Adobe subscription. I need Premiere and After Effects for work.
As a TTRPG publisher who switched from Adobe Photoshop and InDesign just before Covid, I can attest that Affinity is a very good suite that does everything we need for art, design and layout.
There is some relearning needed, but given how Abobe steals your art for there own AI while also charging you an arm and a leg, it's worth the effort.
In short, do it!
Just today I started the incredible free 6 month trial - thank you Affinity for such an amazing intro to your software and as of this moment have wiped clean my Mac of every single evil Adobe entity - yes even those bastard hidden file that seem hard to delete. Adobe has GONE for ever. I absolutely love your Publisher app - it's wonderful, easy, insightful, fast and just makes a better contribution not the world of software. Keep up the superb work :)
Wow! Definitely recommending this at work tomorrow.
THANK YOU! I just purchased the entire Affinity suite.
I refuse to support Adobe's toxic business model.
Honestly, for my personal needs, I probably could've gotten by fine only using GIMP. But I want to support businesses like yours who are doing things right!
This!!!
This is insane, mad respect for affinity!
It's totally worth it! Affinity is an amazing set of tools!
Una mossa coraggiosa che dovrà essere assolutamente premiata. Consiglio vivamente a tutti di acquistare i prodotti Affinity!
Long time Adobe user here also. Made the switch about 2 years ago and it took about 3-4 months before I fully moved over. This is definitely a good opportunity for my fellow designers out there.
You guys are incredible!!
It’s companies like this, that ACTUALLY care about customers, who deserve to thrive. I hope you’re able to gain a good amount of new customers from this. Best of luck 🤞.
From a proud owner of Affinity Photo and Designer.
This could be really useful for people who are waiting for their Adobe CS pay monthly/ anual subscription to run out.
I decided to switch to Affinity this week, as I bought a new computer, I haven't switched yet because I'm still waiting for my order to be delivered, this is perfect timing!! Hoping to get my new computer asap to get Affinity
I've been with affinity for a number of years now. Love the company's attitude. Please dont change your corporate approach. But please develop a solid RAW developer/ lightroom alternative. This is holding many back from changing from Adobe.
I've been using Affinity since 2018, mainly because I needed a vector app on my iPad, I loved it. I purchased the whole suit on the V2 as soon as they announced it. It works way better on my computer than Illustrator, and it's amazing that I have all the tools available on desktop on the iPad as well, that's a win for me. Keep doing a great job!
Nice one! You should link to some tutorials for new users as well, strike while the iron is hot.
Hey thanks for this! Please consider Android and Linux support as well :)
Another vote for Linux!
Linux is most
We keep asking, but they keep ignoring. I'm gonna keep asling anyway. I'll be the annoying fly.
Unless market share for Linux increases, that will be unlikely. Additionally, Linux users are traditionally very pro free and open source. Linux is also very fragmented, so what may work on say Ubuntu may have issues on Manjaro which may turn off some from implementing it. I can be corrected if I'm wrong.
Six months free trial is insanely good,
Love the work you guys have been putting in your software, not proud to say but I have used a cracked version of your programs for a while a few years back and loved it, ended up buying V1 Designer on sale and even V2 bundle when it released, love you guys and thank you for making it easier to get into digital art space
What a big gift for the community!
Huge amount of respect guys,!!! I always wanted to switch but was always held back because of learning curve and time investment. I am positive i'll be buying it by the end of 6 months. I hope the trial also incules the iPad apps.
Affinity has been my work tool for four years. I only have words of gratitude to Serif for having developed such a robust and effective suite. I would never think of using other tools for editorial design again.
6 months free trial is amazing, it takes a lot of time to move in and learn the new software. I will have more time to get over the learning curve and will confidently purchase the software when I'm used to it. Thanks for the gift Affinity!
Unfortunatly i still miss a Lightroom alternative
I have used affinity photo 1 for some years now.
But for making Photography, especially with clients who need many (similar) photos i just miss a lightroom like alternative, so i kinda use both. But i dont see the point in buying the new suite if the main feature i (and many many Other) miss still isnt there.
Affinity your Software is great, more than that, its excellent
But pls make an similar excellent Lightroom alternative
Thanks!!:)
isn't the Develop Persona (tab) in Photo the equivalent to Lightroom?
This is incredibly charitable to potential customers, the best way to stand behind your product, n an excellent way to stick it to the ridiculously priced Adobe Suite. I always wanted to learn digital art but gave up that dream a couple decades ago when I saw how expensive the programs were from Adobe cuz at the time you had to buy their stuff if you wanted to create something of a high quality. I stuck with random arts n crafts hobbies for years but I think I will do the trial for Affinity n finally start my journey into digital art 😊
Hey apart from Affinity, I'd suggest that you try Krita. You can create professional grade digital art in that software and it's open source and completely free. I've been using it for around 5 years now and it's only getting better with each update.
This is the push I needed to move completely away from Adobe. I will certainly give it a try.
I love the “I love your Creative Sessions”. Thanks for that.
Downloaded, installed and giving it a try tomorrow! Hats off to you!
Just bought the Universal license♥️thank you affinity for being noble!
Absolutely brilliant move. I just had to buy the bundle to support you guys. Can't wait to see what else you can come up with. Cheers. 🍻🍻
This is a fantastic offer. I bought into Affinity after Adobe blocked my licence without warning or explanation (paid for years back and I wasn't interested in updates for my needs) and wanted me to pay monthly. Took a bit of getting use to as I'm not a big user of photo editing but I've now settled into it and have used it for a bit of fun.
Love it love it love it. Your tools are top notch and easy to switch to. You maintain this approach in the market and you'll have loyal customers for life.
I tweeted the announcement & a link to the video!
One can DEFINTELY make the switch easily!
Take it from a long time Adobe user & former InDesign Evangelist/Guru.
I made the switch back in 2019 & haven't looked back since!
Amazing! I’m using the Publisher 2, still learning and I’m very interested on the Designer! ❤❤
glad I came across this, it has help me design better advertisement for my business
Been using Affinity Photo for years now and plan to continue using it for many more years.
Excellent! Thank you! Got a trial and already did some tests with Affinity Photo. 🙌
I bought win and mac full suite. Very happy
Adobe right now: 🔥🔥🔥 "This is fine. I'm okay with the events that are unfolding currently. (sips coffee). That's okay, things are going to be okay." 🔥🔥🔥
BTW, I'm already an owner of Affinity Photo and Designer. Great pieces of software and solid Adobe alternatives. I must say, this promotion couldn't have happened at a better time. Keep up the good work!
Omg your the best! I've just started few days ago. Thank you!!! Definitely buy your software.
You need to create an After Effects alternative. And Linux support, that would be a a knockout blow to Adobe.
Fusion in DaVinci Resolve can totally replace AE for 98% of use cases. Many who say it can't simply haven't invested the time to learn it. Took me several weeks to "adjust" but I'd never go back now. Especially given all of Adobe's current recent garbage.
@@LV4EVR I've tried Resolve, and it's too difficult to work with for a number of reasons. I also tried Nuke and it's way better and more intuitive, but the pricing model is ridiculous.
@@BrentonWoods774 Too difficult? How so? Because it's so different? That was the problem I had at first, but I stuck with it. (I was _quite motivated_ as I consider RENTING software stupid on my part; evil on theirs.) Within three months I could do everything I did in PP/AE better and considerably faster. Not crashing all the time didn't hurt.
Affinity + Davinci Resolve & Fusion (can't go wrong there)
@@sonidojamon Well, I hate Davinci Resolve & Fusion, so what do I do now?
Eat that, Adobe!!!
Love that they are talking so open to the community
Installed it and will study everything. I am sure I can make the best out of the 6 months!
I bought the Affinity Designer 1 - years ago, and today I got an even better deal than 50% off the bundle, I think it was exactly 62.5% off :) as I paid 60 instead of 80 bucks, for ALL, like what? iPad versions included, also both Windows and Mac, CRAZY GOOD. Adobe can eat *you know what*...
native linux support would be so gooooooood
Agreed!!!
Great job guys. Very much appreciated by the art community!
I've been an Affinity user since it was shown at the Photo show in brum, it's fantastic, the only thing I want more is a Lightroom Affinity app to go with the suite, or a photo/LR "affinity" combo. THAT would be the killer blow to Adobe.
A bold step. But a very clever thrustful step! Make Affinity better. I use it for years now!
Wow this is awesome. I've been thinking about affinity for a while. I might have to look into it now.
I have a friend who uses Adobe and I've been trying to talk her into Affinity for some time. She is now most definitely moving over to the trial.
God Bless you folks!! This is really unheard of... Touched by your generosity :)
Thanks so much for this. I've tried many times to give Affinity a go but always run out of time and just end up back at Adobe, this really gives us a chance to see to learn it. Looking forward to the tutorials. If you makes some called Affinity for Adobe users, that will really help!
Perfect! If it would be an Lightroom alternative also, even better. But definitely would give this a try!
What a baller move!
I used Affinity photo a while back but never got on with it - definetly a good time to give it another shot
wild.
I think I'll go buy some brushes.
What a great company! I have become fiercely loyal to this company and their products. Every day I move another small chore over to Affinity as I become accustomed to it. It's tough at time when you're so so so used to doing a thing another way... but... as I slowly ween myself over, well by gosh.... LOL I'm liken' it!!! And another strange thing... I'm having fun doing it.
this is amazing ❤ i’m looking to boot up a freelance webflow business and i’m going to start with affinity. this makes my decision to do so much easier, and im betting this will be permanent.
I have to get this. Great going Affinity.
Best of luck to you guys!
That's a company I like to support!
Serious ❤❤❤ I love the software. More time to really learn more and appreciate 😊
This looks awesome - I really want to jump over to Affinity Photo from Photoshop for painting and illustration, the one thing I'd like to request is being able to rotate the canvas with a wacom, like 'R' in PS. At the current time as far as I can tell, the only way to rotate the canvas in Affinity Photo is to use the mouse - would be great with wacom support!
Just bought the universal license , I want to support your hard work in here, thanks!
this is the most important reply to educational market, stop waste money to adobe for our students, stop speculation over students, thanks affinity
Affinity has made me more ROI than Adobe closing a decade. If one day, Serif forges a video or animation product, I would be lost for words. I can't wait for that day to happen. 🤞🏽
Really cool! I hope Linux support will become a reality as well. Would like to be able to continue using Affinity as Windows 10 will eventually become obsolete and Windows 11 is looking worse and worse by being very anti-consumer.
Seconded ! Although I bought Affinity 2 and agree it's fantastic software at a great price, I'm abandoning Windows now and only using Linux. I know it's a small market now but a smart company like serif will hopefully see the opportunity and port their suite. There are a lot of good, paid apps in Linux now and it's the better for them.
It will be the number one technology in the headlines. Exceeds Adobe and even Apple's way of doing business. Thanks ❤
You know... Blender is doing fine without any price, it is just free - but I would say - it is growing because community is going bigger each year.
Affinity has price - and that is fair when you look on similar products - but if you choose right path - your community could get bigger and better...
That 6-months free is a very smart move in that direction - to make community better and bigger.
I am an Affinity user and I really wish your apps could support RTL (right-to-left) languages. You probably have no idea how many people will switch to your apps once this is applied. I love Affinity and thank you for your hard work. I can't wait for more game-changing updates. Peace!
What a fantastic idea! Thank you.
This is amazing ! I would also prefer if they develop their product for Linux platform as well. It would come handy for production houses as well. Artists learns what studios uses in most cases.
Affinity be acting smart as F lately. I will defnitley try it!!!
It is irritating that this free trial has been offered after I already bought the suite… but I also am happy regardless I already purchases the suite (at 50% off no less). This is the easiest recommendation for beginners and professionals alike. I look forward to watching the community using the programs grow
Just DLed everything. 1st time trying something else than photoshop since 15yrs
I love you affinity !!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Bravo!!!!
I use affinity, it's just great
Thanks, mate. I'm barely starting with Affinity on iPad, haven't met my skills yet.
UI is similar to other software but I feel the process and tools work a bit different.
The best move Serif could do with a new potential users, and customers. Bravo! Down with Adobe!
