Took a bit of getting use to as I'm not a big user of photo editing but I've now settled into it and have used it for a bit of fun.
This looks awesome - I really want to jump over to Affinity Photo from Photoshop for painting and illustration, the one thing I'd like to request is being able to rotate the canvas with a wacom, like 'R' in PS. At the current time as far as I can tell, the only way to rotate the canvas in Affinity Photo is to use the mouse - would be great with wacom support!

I've been an Affinity user since it was shown at the Photo show in brum, it's fantastic, the only thing I want more is a Lightroom Affinity app to go with the suite, or a photo/LR "affinity" combo. THAT would be the killer blow to Adobe.
Adobe right now: 🔥🔥🔥 "This is fine. I'm okay with the events that are unfolding currently. (sips coffee). That's okay, things are going to be okay." 🔥🔥🔥 BTW, I'm already an owner of Affinity Photo and Designer. Great pieces of software and solid Adobe alternatives. I must say, this promotion couldn't have happened at a better time. Keep up the good work!
There has been one for some time: The Fusion module within DaVinci Resolve. This way you can kill Premiere at the same time and get the best color grading tool on the market.
I just bought the Affinity V2 Universal Licence and after trying Designer (after years of battling my way through with Visio) I must say the price was worth it just for the single program, I'm trying to wean myself off Photoshop at the moment but the sky selction and generative fill keeps me coming back, I will however overcome once I get a bit more versed in the Photo 2 UI.
Unfortunatly i still miss a Lightroom alternative I have used affinity photo 1 for some years now. But for making Photography, especially with clients who need many (similar) photos i just miss a lightroom like alternative, so i kinda use both. But i dont see the point in buying the new suite if the main feature i (and many many Other) miss still isnt there. Affinity your Software is great, more than that, its excellent But pls make an similar excellent Lightroom alternative Thanks!!:)
It is irritating that this free trial has been offered after I already bought the suite… but I also am happy regardless I already purchases the suite (at 50% off no less). I'm loving using Affinity software. I'm using it in the trial period and as soon as I give it I'll buy the license. And please, don't charge for renewals, we Brazilians are very poor =(
Affinity has made me more ROI than Adobe closing a decade. If one day, Serif forges a video or animation product, I would be lost for words. I can't wait for that day to happen. 🤞🏽
Fusion in DaVinci Resolve can totally replace AE for 98% of use cases. Many who say it can't simply haven't invested the time to learn it. Took me several weeks to "adjust" but I'd never go back now. Especially given all of Adobe's current recent garbage.
@@LV4EVR I've tried Resolve, and it's too difficult to work with for a number of reasons. I also tried Nuke and it's way better and more intuitive, but the pricing model is ridiculous.

Not crashing all the time didn't hurt.
Downloaded the 6 months trial looking forward to trying out all three applications. Looking to leave Adobe software I hope that Affinity gives many new features so we the creators can flourish!!!
Thanks, mate. I'm barely starting with Affinity on iPad, haven't met my skills yet. UI is similar to other software but I feel the process and tools work a bit different.
this is amazing ❤ i’m looking to boot up a freelance webflow business and i’m going to start with affinity. this makes my decision to do so much easier, and im betting this will be permanent.
People really seem like your approach guys, good for you! I bought the full V2 suite. I'm in the process of hacking Linux to somehow run Photo on it because that's my mainly driver for work. In the mean time, do you think a Surface with Windows on it is good enough for Photo? Again, congrats on the new flow of customers and good luck!
I wish affinity could send vector projects to cutting machines, like silhouette cameo or others. At least could use silhouette connect maybe. Like Corel and illustrator.

Thanks so much for this. I've tried many times to give Affinity a go but always run out of time and just end up back at Adobe, this really gives us a chance to see to learn it. Looking forward to the tutorials. If you makes some called Affinity for Adobe users, that will really help!
I bought win and mac full suite. Very happy
That's okay, things are going to be okay." 🔥🔥🔥
BTW, I'm already an owner of Affinity Photo and Designer. Great pieces of software and solid Adobe alternatives. I must say, this promotion couldn't have happened at a better time. Keep up the good work!
Downloaded, installed and giving it a try tomorrow! Hats off to you!
We need an After Effects alternative from Affinity. That'd be the final blow to Adobe.
There has been one for some time: The Fusion module within DaVinci Resolve. This way you can kill Premiere at the same time and get the best color grading tool on the market.
Yes!! That’s what’s stopping me from canceling my Adobe subscription. I need Premiere and After Effects for work.
resolve and fusion works better
@@haezzed Try DaVinci Resolve to switch from Premiere, in my opinion it's better
If you can spell "DaVinci Resolve", then you're all good.
What a baller move!
I used Affinity photo a while back but never got on with it - definetly a good time to give it another shot
Wow this is awesome. I've been thinking about affinity for a while. I might have to look into it now.
I just bought the Affinity V2 Universal Licence and after trying Designer (after years of battling my way through with Visio) I must say the price was worth it just for the single program, I'm trying to wean myself off Photoshop at the moment but the sky selction and generative fill keeps me coming back, I will however overcome once I get a bit more versed in the Photo 2 UI.
there's a plugin for Krita that does generative fill
Serious ❤❤❤ I love the software. More time to really learn more and appreciate 😊
Unfortunatly i still miss a Lightroom alternative
I have used affinity photo 1 for some years now.
But for making Photography, especially with clients who need many (similar) photos i just miss a lightroom like alternative, so i kinda use both. But i dont see the point in buying the new suite if the main feature i (and many many Other) miss still isnt there.
Affinity your Software is great, more than that, its excellent
But pls make an similar excellent Lightroom alternative
Thanks!!:)
isn't the Develop Persona (tab) in Photo the equivalent to Lightroom?
It is irritating that this free trial has been offered after I already bought the suite… but I also am happy regardless I already purchases the suite (at 50% off no less). This is the easiest recommendation for beginners and professionals alike. I look forward to watching the community using the programs grow
Installed it and will study everything. I am sure I can make the best out of the 6 months!
native linux support would be so gooooooood
Agreed!!!
I'm loving using Affinity software. I'm using it in the trial period and as soon as I give it I'll buy the license. And please, don't charge for renewals, we Brazilians are very poor =(
That's a company I like to support!
glad I came across this, it has help me design better advertisement for my business
Yo creo en ustedes. Son una gran compañía ❤ saludos desde Venezuela
Omg your the best! I've just started few days ago. Thank you!!! Definitely buy your software.
Affinity has made me more ROI than Adobe closing a decade. If one day, Serif forges a video or animation product, I would be lost for words. I can't wait for that day to happen. 🤞🏽
I only got 1-month free... Because I bought the full suite after only a month. I couldn't pass up on 50% off!
I love you affinity !!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
You need to create an After Effects alternative. And Linux support, that would be a a knockout blow to Adobe.
@@BrentonWoods774 Too difficult? How so? Because it's so different? That was the problem I had at first, but I stuck with it. (I was _quite motivated_ as I consider RENTING software stupid on my part; evil on theirs.) Within three months I could do everything I did in PP/AE better and considerably faster. Not crashing all the time didn't hurt.
Affinity + Davinci Resolve & Fusion (can't go wrong there)
@@sonidojamon Well, I hate Davinci Resolve & Fusion, so what do I do now?
after the 6 months do we get the option to buy at the 50% off price being offered now, or will it be at whatever price 6 months from now?
15/8 offer of 50% ends,I’m going to trial till 10/8 ,if I like it the price at £33.99 is awesome
This is SO nice! Reminds me on DaVinci Resolve
This is the push I needed to move completely away from Adobe. I will certainly give it a try.
Eat that, Adobe!!!
I wish affinity could send vector projects to cutting machines, like silhouette cameo or others. At least could use silhouette connect maybe. Like Corel and illustrator.
