just got a midget and was wondering why your purple wire isn't connected to your fuse box?. I had to disconnect mine because the fuse kept blowing and I haven't any idea why
There's a full color wiring diagram a guy transcribed and posted on the Internet, you can find it, download it, print it at Walgreens or wherever on a poster sheet. I did, it's amazingly handy. Ran out just now and looked. Purple is the horn. Purple and black stripes is the return from the horn and feeds 12V to the rear courtesy light in the trunk, if I'm reading this right. Purple should go to the first fuze, the one closest to the dashboard, fed by the ignition switch, and then go to the steering wheel to be completed when pressing the horn button.
Coming along nicely good work will make a lovely car look forward to more updates take care ben
I guess this is common since mine is the same.
Love the car! Hopefully it’s not eaten up with rust 🤞
Thanks. Garage kept since 1977, so no rust
Wish it was mine! ❤️

I have no clue why the purple wire isn't connected. It wasn't connected when I got it
I remember removing a wire because the interior dome light wouldn't go off, but I don't remember if it was the purple one
