So UGA is entrenched as one of the SECCG teams, while Saturday's winner will determine the other. If Texas wins, they finish the regular season #1 in the SEC, while aggie could finish as low as #7.
Best defense since the 2005 national champion team. They are very well coached and never seem confused on the back end. But it does help when our front seven live in the backfield all night. Very impressive and should be recognized across the nation as elite. They dont get enough respect in my opinion.
@brucemcglasson statistically they were not .Still had a porous secondary in 2009. They were good yes but nothing compared to this defense. Texas has the number one ranked defense in the nation this year and in 2009 they weren't even in the top 10.
Quinn and the entire Texas team had some problems in the 3rd quarter but stepped up. The game was not in danger at any time in the 2nd half. Taking the snap and handing the ball off is not really going to do much for Manning. Like to see Quinn step up and play through the pain.
@@drm2364We are always making excuses for his inconsistent play (he was hurt, the O line didn’t play well, the defense stacked the downfield, the backs missed blitz blocks, the corners were holding, etc, etc, etc). 1. As someone who always reflects on the underlying nuances of recruiting and how everything possible could impact a recruit's decision to commit to Texas or somewhere else, I wonder how Oklahoma's win over a good Alabama team will impact Michael Fasusi, even having had a very good visit at Texas. 2. Regarding Florida, I wonder if Texas beating them so badly created some motivation in that team to improve. It looks like the Gators will win their last 3 regular season games, with 2 of those wins being against good ranked teams. I wonder if the Gators emergence could still impact some recruits currently committed to Texas. 3. Of all the unexpected teams that actually lost Saturday, I was really hoping LSU would lose to Vanderbilt. The assumed trajectory of Kade Phillips at one point seemed to be towards Texas. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if Phillips will actually decommit from LSU and commit to Texas, as much as I hope he would. 4. I have always thought DT and NT are the most important positions in football, even though most if not everyone else thinks QB is the most important position in football. The most important aspect of the 2025 Texas Recruiting Class is the DT and NT position group, Josiah Sharma, Myron Charles, and now Joseph Mbatchou. All of those players will likely develop into multifaceted interior Defensive Linemen, which would be absolutely great. Nonetheless, I still think Texas needs a dominant run stopping and legitimate NT. That would be either Kevin Wynn or Zion Williams. It's very unfortunate to me that Texas will likely not get either of them. I think getting one of Wynn or Williams would make the Texas recruiting class the nation's best recruiting class, regardless of recruiting rankings. "Hook Em"
I think before that running drive the o line went to sark and said let’s win the Joe Moore award and this game. I hope they get the award they seemed very focused yesterday
They will need to play Georgia and show the game in Austin was a 1 off. Because that game still stands strong in minds. Thats best D line Texas has faced and they looked lost. They handle business next week and in Atlanta. Maybe

They literally ran the ball 15 straight times to end the game. I don’t understand why he didn’t pull Quinn to get him healthy for next week and let Manning get snaps. Really makes zero sense.
