The saying let go and let God is a powerful one...if you get to the point where you are no longer willing to put in all of the work to keep a relationship moving forward... and this can be any kind of relationship family, friend, partner, job...but if you get to the point to say I'm doing more to keep this moving forward than they...let go and let God! If it is in his will he will, and only he can touch their heart and they will begin to hold up their weight in the relationship.They will pursue you as you did them, seek you as you did them because you will mean to them finally what they meant to you. They will see your truth and what you have to offer and this alone will kill the ego and fear that kept them from giving you what it was you deserved all along. So yes if you are giving more in any situation than you are receiving let go and let God and time will tell. If he doesn't change their heart or mind Noone can and now you have your answer! I agree and always be forward moving in the mean time...if it's meant to be they will be ready by the time they get to you!
