This is from 2012 and neither Tommy or Hannes was with the band. The drummer here is Snowy Shaw, who was the touring drummer after Robban Bach took time off after he became a father. The second guitarist is Thobbe Englund. Sabaton tries to be interactive with their fans and often watch the reactions to their songs with an occasional comment. As you can see from the start of this song, they really like to have fun on stage. I saw them in Oct 2022 at the Ryman in Nashville and they were having the time of their lives on stage, and the fun they had with the crowd is amazing. Best concert I had ever seen. "The Hammer Has Fallen" is one of my favorite songs, ranking right up there with Iron Maiden's "Hallowed Be Thy Name" as a song about facing your inevitable death. Loved the little riff at the end paying homage to the Iron Maiden song.

Sorry for two posts, but thought I would tell you what I have read about Sabaton's choice of war history (or more accurately to me, history based on heroism, sacrifice, and Man overcoming the inhumanity of war). "Primo Victoria" was the first Sabaton war related song. Joakim had written the music, and he and Par wanted the lyrics to be more impactful than the normal metal song. They had recently watched "Saving Private Ryan" and chose the Normandy invasion for the topic. They both enjoyed the process of researching the history and decided to continue with the war history theme. Interesting fact, the "Primo Victoria" album was the first released by Sabaton (they had already released a demo CD called "Fist for Fight") but actually the second recorded. The first album "Metalizer" was delayed for two years due to issues with the label they were with at the time.
