Backyard Pond - Mural Painting Time Lapse

- This is a time-lapse video of a mural I painted for clients' who had a stunning, terraced backyard. However, the backyard was bordered by a plain, white wall, which was the side of the garage. I integrated the abundant blooms and color of their garden into the mural, but had it tumble out over a patio and then added about 10 more acres, which included a pond and a meadow. I love to paint on a big scale. A well placed, well executed mural can dramatically transform a space. It turns a plain wall into something beautiful and unique that tells a story about the people who dwell there. I consider myself a collaborative artist. Most of my clients would not consider themselves artists, yet what we create together is more gratifying and interesting than my perspective alone. Because my work is site-specific, each project offers a unique environmental dynamic. I aim to create artwork that will be a perfect fit for the space, taking into consideration the perspective from which the artwork is viewed, the lighting, the scale of the space, the colors and mood, and the story we want to tell with the piece.

I currently live in Los Altos, California with my husband David, son, Lucas (13), and daughter, Allison (11). When I am not painting you can find me hiking in the Santa Cruz Mountains or napping in my van.

Exceptionally, wonderfully, delightfully beautiful, mural! I been thinking and searched youtube for 'how to paint mural landscapes for outside' and here i am. I didn't know such beautiful work existed. I help an elderly lady and the bottom of her modest garden is a hedge, bathed in sun. It is quite deep growth, but enough room centrally, there is a natural arch shape and was hoping to create an illusion of an archway maybe a gate leading out into the fields and trees. But prior to this i didn't know where to start, thank you so much for the inspiring time lapse capturing your amazing work. Love the doggie
It's amazing how your beautiful talent has turned the walls of the street into something nice. I also want to practice painting hard and give others the pleasure of seeing it. I am proud and grateful to see the ordinary white walls of the patio terrace in the customer's backyard filled with beautiful flowers and lakes.

What brand of paint do you use??? And is it matt or gloss? Brilliant work by the way
Thanks Martin! I use a satin sheen house paint base coat, so the golden acrylics I use for details have a similar sheen.
Wish you could buy these scenes on a roll and paste them up in your own room! Can anyone recommend?
