@@Dizzyknitsandcurls my mother died a couple of years ago (at the age of 97); when she was younger people thought of her as "that lady who wore the 1940's kind of hairstyle"....I remember her using bobby pins in her hair at night then taking them out in the morning.... I think she's contacting me from the other side and saying "Hey! try making pin curls in Your hair!!" LOL

You mentioned that you use a setting lotion that you made using water and gel. Can you tell me how you did that? Thanks!
I took a small spray bottle and squirted in about an ounce or so of gel and filled the rest with water and shook it up, the more gel you use the stronger the hold

Hello! Thank you for the tutorial. How long did you leave the curls in your hair before you brushed them out? Also did you spray them with something?
hi, I left them in around 4 hours, and I didn't spray them in this case. but ussually I will do a spritz of hairspray at the end, and lately I have been prepping the hair with a little mousse before I roll it

I was wondering, how many days does something like this last? Is it a one-day-do', or will it last for a couple days or more? Love this style, but only tried it when I was way younger with longer/thicker/not dyed hair.
i can get a couple days at least depending on how much product i use
I need those clips. Bobby pins hate my fine hair.
