Noisia's productions are so otherworldly that seeing the Cubase project just feels wrong 😂 It's a testament really to how utterly solid their works are.
This is exactly what I've always loved the most about your music - your mind blowing ability to tell stories through your tracks. The sound design where each tiny sound makes sense and adds up to the whole vibe of a track. It's like you're painting pictures with soundwaves lol. Will really miss Noisia, but of course looking forward to listening to the stuff that you guys will make on behalf of your other projects! (Also, the aesthetics of "The Hole" sorta remind me of "Paraoh" by The Upbeats & Ivy Lab. Both take you on a journey).
Nice to see that Nick starts about narrative of the song, my friends always told me off because "you don't make music"... but you still want to express an aesthetic... a story you want to tell the listener to convey a certain feeling.
@@PARANDROID really? I think you need to educate yourself on aesthetics first before you lecture me with "sad". If you had even slightly understood any of this at all, you would have realized Nick was talking about the feeling of a narrowing hole... this is an aesthetic, this is the story being told by the song. Now please enlighten me, how did you get to "sad"?
It is the track I loved the second I heard it, I loved that you managed to execute a flowing accents rhythm and still be very distinctly Neuro and, more importantly, Noisia.
Hey Nik, thanks so much for the video, really interesting to get more insight about your music. Two rather specific questions: 1. Do you use a sub in your studio? If yes, which one? If not, what monitors? 2. How low (in Hz) does the base goes in this song? The bass tone seems REALLY low. Best regards!

Cubase is much more powerful than people give it credit for.
have you used cubase? steinberg makes solid shit
Right - And the Oxford / Fabfilter bundles on the fx chain. Makes you think, no excuses. Mind they do/did have cable mounted PMCs irrc
@@MixPv4 they were arguably creating even wilder sounds when they were in their apartment with consumer grade monitors too! The Tide for example.
It feels like aircraft taking off before your first parachute jump. One of my favorite track ever.

You completely misunderstand the word "Story" in connection to writing music. Sad
