Carmine Galante's murder numbers make Sammy look like a choir boy. Galante actually had many Gambino's killed, so they definitely had motivation to see him gone.

I have a better idea ... have peanuts read the article BEFOREHAND... have her press play .... as Sammy wants to add commentary just stop ... then start again ... if her voice is put down on a track beforehand.. the sound can be adjusted for volume, speed, tone, pitch ... and the correct pronunciations of names ( some are tough ) ... this can all be in the bag 💼 before you air ... Sammy’s delivery is near perfect, no adjustments needed.. anyway that’s my 2 cents.

There's just something about the way Sammy tells the story that gets my attention. Maybe it's because he's not reading off a script but is actually retelling from memory so it's more authentic and more like a in person conversation than an e-book or lecture.

13:25 Anthony Mirra (who introduced Joe Pistone to Sonny Black) was my mom's ex-boyfriend. He was murdered in 1982. He was never abusive to Mom or to another woman in the building he later dated. He was polite as could be to me when I asked him how he knew Mom and what he did for a living though he was certainly physically impressive :-) Mom met Mirra when she tagged along to visit my uncle who did time for a murder in the cell next to Mirra's.
