- Tammy Wynette (born Virginia Wynette Pugh; May 5, 1942 - April 6, 1998) was an American country music singer-songwriter and musician and was one of country music's best-known artists and biggest-selling female singers during the late 1960s and first half of the 1970s
From a dirt-poor upbringing to a prosperous yet often troubled reign as one of country music's biggest stars
The arsonists was George Richey i believe.
It was him. He was pushing to get in the door then beats her six months into that marriage and fakes the kidnapping. I believe she would have lived a lot longer without him around pushing those drugs in her.
George Richey was the villain.
Yes he was
George Richey was such an opportunist. Shame she and George Jones couldn’t have worked it out, but Jones was so self destructive. No way to describe it. Just look at what he did to himself after they got divorced. But Jones got very lucky when Nancy came along and Tammy was just trapped in the awful relationship with Richey. Tragic.
The kidnapping was a hoax. It was engineered by Richey who beat Wynette and gave her a black eye. 😊
