Did the same, but found the TA technix bags just touched the callipers afterwards, so made some 10mm spacers to clear them. Planned a trip to OCD to upgrade to another bag to give more of a range with bag height transition. Unfortunately OCD has ceased trading. Had some good advice over the years from these guys. Bit unfortunate. Maybe what you’ve done might cure my problem Some very valuable info here 👌🏽
Once the bags are full of air and properly aired out it will drop some more, had same thing recently and it actually does work, the bags fold in on themselves, but need to be aired up and then aired out first. 🤙🏻
In South Africa if you want more lows, the best option is to buy 165/40/15 or 165/45/15 tyres. It will sit more flush and you have a 7J rim so it will be the best tyre option.
We have swapped tyres, we didnt want to go too skinny as it's got 200+bhp so needs to have some traction aswel as looking cool. All in the next episode 😁
Look like thos who weld it didn't think. Don't need to cut and weld, they should just flip it 180 degree. KW lower kit to mk1 Caddy instructions says that to. If I had my Caddy I would also put air ride. Look great.
What bags are used on the rear? Can't find any info on them anywhere, just curious where one would get replacements should something happen to them. Love the content👌
We did consider that as the bag holes are offset, but one had the watts linkage mount on and one mounts to the shock so they can't be swapped side to side .
Front wheels you have very little options with the porker wheels narrower tyres on the 6j but on the rear if you keep the drum brakes you could re drill the drum to the 5x130 and lose the spacer or if going discs cut the axle down to lose the extra 25mm for the spacer and you should get the porker wheels on the back 👍
I bought the disc type axle end plates from Retrofication and narrowed my axle at the same time, I now have 9x16 rims on the back of my Caddy 👌
If we had known about the plates before we got it all powder coated we would have gone down the same route 👍

Yeah we've noticed that before too going a bit lower once they've had a proper stretch 👍
Looking good Ron! Bags are looking great and those wheels will be awesome
Yes you can definitely start to visualise it now 😁 thanks for watching

Good stuff again Ron))))
thanks for watching!
Super great content Ron. Learning so much whilst enjoying your content ✨️. Thank you
Thanks 😁 I tried slimming it down to under 30 mins but all the talking in it I couldn't find anything I wanted to delete 🤷♂️
Great work and video... do enjoy the problem solving
It would be boring if everything just bolted up 😁 thanks for watching
Good stuff again Ron , keep it up!
Thanks for watching 😁
Nicely done m8. Nice to see well made adapter kits 👍
Cheers mate 😁 yes clearly alot of development has gone into the kit, very impressed
Definitely would go for a much smaller tyre.
Yes that is the plan 😁
Nice one Ron!!! Just leaving a cheeky comment for the algorithm 😉👍
Much appreciated 😁
Great videos enjoyed that 👍
Thanks for watching 😁
at 20:10 the buttom plates need to switch places, you put the Left on the right and the right on the left. is my guess, nice content so far
The right plate has a shock mount and the left doesn't, so can't be switched. Thanks for watching 😁
@@SuperRon fair point :)

Im not sure on the rear bags to be honest, they came with the kit. I'm sure only charged Dubs could tell you if you message them
Question Ron, did you weld the piece above the watts linkage to the bed or is it left loose
It bolts in both sides, we did think about welding it in but like this it is all reversible.
How come the TA technix kit is not well aligned. Is there other customer that need to cut this knob ?
I dont know why, I emailed TA but never got a reply
I am about to put air on my focus st would you recommend this manufacturer for there kit also were would i get this
TA technix are the lower end of the scale, but we've fitted them to a few cars now without problems 👍
Just checking, any chance the lower bag mount brackets were on the reversed left to right causing the alignment issues?
We did consider that as the bag holes are offset, but one had the watts linkage mount on and one mounts to the shock so they can't be swapped side to side .

Good shout about re drilling the drums, never thought of that. I think we have it under control though, we've swapped tyre sizes
where is the rear fender flare from ? :)
thanks
I think they're mk1 hatchback ones, they fit pretty well except right at the very bottom
what is the name from your kit and tell me we're did you buy it
we got it from here:
www.onlychargeddubs.co.uk/products/ta-technix-air-suspension-vw-mk1-caddy-full-rear-kit-only.html
hi my friend just every time try to open this page is something wrong to open
I was interested in the same product but the link appears to be broken could you post a new one here ?
Link doesn't work for me
Only charged dubs where we purchased it from have closed down unfortunately
Great video, shit wheels 😂
🤣🤣 each to their own, thanks for watching 😁
Who in their right mind would put these fat tires on a car with air ride🤨🤦♂️
🤣 perfect for a porsche 👌
