    Allaahumma salli wa sallim 'alaa Nabiyyinaa Muhammadin.
    ‎اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ وَ سَلِّمْ عَلَى نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ
    He ﷺ said: “Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah will send blessings upon him tenfold and will erase from him ten misdeeds and raise him ten degrees in status.” Narrated by an-Nasaa’i (1297); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Sunan an-Nasaa’i.

    Question should Americans wait till they see the crescent then start counting? Or go off of Mecca

      There is a Difference of opinion (of the day of Arafah, if that's what you're asking). If you follow local sightings, then go off whatever that may be, in your local area . If you follow Umm Al Qura (Makkah), ie Saudi,then it's simply Saturday. If you're not sure, then you can just take it to be Saturday, and this matter is broad.

      @@superbo9y36 I decided to just go based off when we saw the moon in America because that’s day 1 of the new month and 9days would make day of arafah Sunday and Eid Monday. If I fast with Makkah I’d be fasting on day 8

      People should always go by their own moon sighting and there's no difference of opinion in this regard...there's a clear hadith stating to go according to one's sighting and Allāh knows best
