I would purchase 5 pairs of Beckett Simonon shoes if I could get them in a 3E width but they are not servicing my sector. Cole Haan generally is sub-par. I have some of their offerings but I'm not getting a good cost per wear, unlike my many AEs.
The bigger multinational luxury brands have three levels - 1st, manufacturing co; 2nd, wholesale/distribution; 3rd, retail. So something that costs $100 retail...working back: Most retailers have a markup between 60-70%. The $100 pair of shoes was sold to the retailer for $30-$40. The wholesaler most likely purchased the shoe from the factory anywhere from $8-$10 depending where the shoes were manufactured. A pair of shoes made in Vietnam can cost $1 whereas in Italy $200. I’m talking about a well-made pair. Keep in mind all along the bills have to get paid - staff, showrooms, rents, infrastructure, etc. You did a great job on this video! There are so many different tiers of quality from the leather all the way to the thread to sew it together.
Assembled Style I have two pairs of Cole Haan shoes but that was before I got into style. Still, I knew better than to overpay for them. Right now I only buy full grain leather shoes. It’s all about finding good deals.
Pro tip: don’t by Cole Haan. For that money you can get Allen Edmonds during their sales.
😂 allen edmonds will become cole haan pne day with the way they’re going now
I'm worried that you might be right.
@Moon Disaster Absolutely but you are talking about a hundred dollars. I do love mine though.
That doughnut analogy was perfect! Lol 👍🏼
Haha it was something I came up with outta the blue during filming. I thought it was dumb during the editing lol glad someone got a kick outta it
Great video. I was just looking at how to determine if your shoes are good quality or poorly made.
Thanks bruh

Just showed you how these big companies spend more time trying to cut corners to save a few bucks.
