    Another great video, thanks! I love the blue- green colour of the thumbnail, and the snow-dusted landscape drone shots are sublime. Nice transition to the cozy crackling fire inside right after. Made me think of the Friendly Giant when he invites you in to curl up by the fire. It’s very peaceful and enjoyable watching your videos. I find I learn something each time, which makes my dream of having my own cabin one day seem that much more possible. June bug looked so happy to be with you stacking wood- her tail was wagging so fast! It was interesting to see how you get/make your drinking water. A question that came to mind while you were showing us was- what happens if it doesn’t rain? And in the winter, do you use/melt snow? Have a wonderful spooky full blue moon weekend with your sweetie. Stay warm and well!

    nice vidiouuuuuuuuuu.....
    The problem I had in a house I was long ago was that I had to carry the wood 40 mts ....
    then I rented another that was only 10 mts...but the terrain was flat...
    and that it is much more confortable .... now I live in the city ...
    the heat in winter is by gasoil and its general in the building I dont have to put it on...
    and I'm very happy with that....I cant do some jobs now....because of my age...I'm happy
    but I miss the fire in the wood stove
    You can use that daily exercise .... if you dont go to a gym

Now we have a days worth inside and a months worth stacked by the front door and the rest stacked under a tarp by the garage.

    Hmmm. Plastic ducks canoodeling with a big plastic pelican in a northern lake. If I was a real duck flying over I would definitely stop by just to see what the heck was going on down there. May need a little romantic music over the lake to help set the mood. I guess it must be the beavers who are putting sticks on the raft. Very strange . Sad to see the fall colours almost gone. Have a good weekend.

    Just a suggestion did you ever think about low voltage heat strips on you're panels to keep the snow off so you don't have to clean them off.

    • @weaverkevin5462
      @weaverkevin5462 3 роки тому +1

      I forgot to add put them on switch so you can turn them on and off when you need them. I don't now you're power supply but heat strips would run off DC power. Take less energy.

      It would take too much power.

    A larger porche maybe? Just sayin'. Easy to say, harder to do ^^. But for having watch quite many of your excellent videos, i did see you moving around stuff on the porch for lack of space. Let's say it is possible, I would include a section within a large screen for bugs season. Otherwise, keep you excellent work and happy new year !

      Thanks Pellicule. The size of the porch was limited by where the windows are, though I might have found a way around that eventually.

    I use the same water filtration system With great success. A question though.......when was the last time you scrubbed those filters, not to mention the spigot?

    • @RaspberryRockOffGridCabin
      @RaspberryRockOffGridCabin  3 роки тому

      I clean them whenever I feel it's taking too long. I didn't realize the spigot was dirty, but I cleaan it every once in a while.

    So don't laugh, because I know nothing about solar panels, but could you spray Rain-X on the panels? I use it on my car windshield. Snow and ice slide off under their own weight.

    Hi Russell. During your piece to camera at the start ... in the background there are some downed trees across the pond. Once the pond freezes will you be able to drag them over to cut up for next year ... or are they stuffed / rotten?

    Your drone game is strong Russell! Awesome footage. By the way, we love your woodstove with that huge window. What brand is it? We are building in the Spring and shopping around. Thanks!

      Thanks Frank. The wood stove is pretty old, and the old label on it on the back is a numbered company in Ontario. I doubt they're still around.

      Thanks Nicholas. I park my car on a property by the road, where I have permission from the people that own it.
