Grew up in Preston in the 50s 60s. Remember Fishergate with Mears toy shop, Owen Owen and the Kardoma coffee shop. Special treat was the cafe above Booths with ice cream in a little metal bowl. Later used to get my motorbike fixed at Old Cock yard where Boots is now. First KFC in UK had one then and never since 😝Lots of good memories but a life time ago now.
I lived in Preston while I studied at UCLAN. It is by far the best city I have ever lived in. I call it home despite the fact that I grew up in Nigeria and I reside in the United States now. I hope to return soon and hopefully retire there.
