    If you do get this entire run and want to read it in order as well as getting the full impact of this run, you have to pick up trinity war and forever evil. Trinity war is set up pretty early on in the run and forever evil takes place after forever heroes.

      Yeah I’ve always wanted to make my way through the entire run, I’ve gotten through Thrones of Atlantis but need to buckle down and read the rest 😂
      Thanks for watching man!!

    This run got me into DC and comics in general when I was leaving high school the comic shop let me buy it a few days before it was out and I think this is better than the animated movie

      Geoff Johns never misses in my opinion and this is a fun one :) the art is really hard to beat in this collection!
      Thanks for watching!
      Do you have a favorite Geoff Johns comic?

    Shannon said you should do ASMR videos where you whisper sweet nothings into the microphone 😂🤣. ANYWAYS, I have the first three volumes sitting on my shelf waiting to be read. You may have just pushed them closer to the front of the list! Another great video Dom!

      Hahah I’m flattered? 😂
      I guess if this comics channel goes south that’s always a thought ha..
      Yeah, this may not like blow your mind, but it’s a solid run from what I’ve read. And, the art from Jim Lee I think in the first two volumes is worth it alone!
      For me Geoff Johns really never misses.
      If you ever end up reading your copies you’ll have to let me know what you think!
      Thanks for watching man

    Good review. I enjoyed this too. A good story and brilliant art. There was a lot of good stuff from the New 52.
    My only complaint would be Superman's metallic costume with collars.

    • @TheComicBookReport
      @TheComicBookReport  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah I did not love the Superman redesign either or even his general attitude 😂
      But, yeah I thought this was a great launch for the title and honestly a great little stand-alone book for readers.
      And I just adore this art, it’s so hard to beat for me!
      Thank you so much for stopping by and watching.
      And I agree, I really do enjoy the new52 but I understand why it’s a but controversial ha.
      Out of curiosity what are some of your favorite new52 titles??

    Neal Adams famously once said in Secret Origin: The Story of DC Comics documentary, "If you get the best artist in the world and the best writer in the world, they will make the greatest piece of art in the world. And you know what they will call it? You'll call it a comic book."

    I'm still confused with the canonical Justice League origin. Is the New 52 Justice League Origin by Geoff Johns the in-canon continuity origin or was that one scrapped ? What's the official origin of the Justice League ?

    • @TheComicBookReport
      @TheComicBookReport  Рік тому +1

      There have been a lot of retelling of the Justice league origin. I know this was canon during the new52 era when they kind of soft rebooted/retconned but I think they eventually kind of restored the timeline so I’m not clear what the canon origin is. Idk if it now goes alllll the way back to silver age stuff or first post crisis JL appearance. I’m not sure 😂
      A great question!

    I love Geoff Johns' run on Justice League. In my opinion, it is the best Justice League run. However, it is not Geoff Johns' best run, that would be his run on Green lantern. I alway recommend this run to people but I only recommend the omnibus' because it is cost effective in the long run and ties things together much better. I personally have everything in trades but I have been thinking about upgrading to the omni's because they're going for a decent price on Amazon right now.

    • @TheComicBookReport
      @TheComicBookReport  3 роки тому +1

      Oh man I agree! His Green Lantern run is probably my favorite of his runs, I did enjoy his flash run too. This guy really
      Doesn’t miss for me honestly!
      I used to have his whole GL run in trades at one point, now I only have about a quarter of it, I’ve definitely considered upgrading to the omnibuses as well

    • @jaredmartinez5380
      @jaredmartinez5380 3 роки тому +1

      @@TheComicBookReport I have all three omni's for his GL run and the two omni's that have been released for his flash run. The upgrade is well worth the money and I advise picking them up before they go out of print like his JSA run.

    • @TheComicBookReport
      @TheComicBookReport  3 роки тому

      @@jaredmartinez5380 good tip!! I may need to just commit, they’re a decent price for that run! And while I’ve read his GL I haven’t read all of his GL Corp stuff.
      It’s been a minute since I read it too, would be fun to dive back in

    • @TheComicBookReport
      @TheComicBookReport  18 днів тому +1

      @BizzyZ how much depends on where you shop. This is a good starting point and a fairly complete story. The run continues on for maybe 10
      Volumes around this size or
      This story can be found in bigger collections like
      Omnibus
