- Would you like to learn how to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game?
We love teaching people!
The game is very fun and great, not only for spending time with friends and family, but also for kids to practice skills such as reading, math, and critical thinking.
In this video, we play through the Battle Academy 2022 Tutorial and explain the very basics of the game. - Ігри
I've watched several tutorials but this is the first one to properly teach how to play the game. Thanks!
Thank you for those kind words!
We wish everyone knew how to play so that was certainly our goal!
0:30 little known fact that all games should begin by professing love to your opponent 😅 I am 100% going to teach my kids that that’s how it’s played
thanks we were stuck on that for a long time (son) heaps easier than reading through all those instruction manuals, much appreciated (dad)
Really glad it was helpful for you both!
Thanks so much. Is the best tutorial video ever. I play tonight with my son
Super excited to hear that! Have a great time!
Thank you for making this video. It has taught me and my son the correct way to play!

Love your tutorial! So easy to follow and understand! Good job Now time to teach my 8 year old son! 😂
Super happy to hear that! Thank you!
Man, my 5yr shuffled the deck right away, been trying to figure out the order for the last 30 min 😅 my God I didn't realize they were numbered 😂
These things are SO much easier when the cards are numbered!
Hi do you have a link to the 25 board? I have been looking everywhere but no luck.
I don’t believe that Mat was ever available for purchase. I believe it was only ever given to stores as a promotional item.
Can you play V on Vmax cards of different sets
You can evolve any Pokémon card from a card of the same name as that listed in the upper right hand corner where it states “Evolves from…”. Hope that helps!
@@HGHEREDUCATONPLAYLEARN Thank you
Great video! How do you use the Morpeko card?
Which Morpeko card? The one that comes as four separate pieces or another? Can you list the numbers from the bottom corner (e.g. 18/189)?
@@HGHEREDUCATONPLAYLEARN it says 109/264, came with the battle academy. I’m having fun playing with my 7 year old! But there are some cards with descriptive stuff vs a damaged number that we aren’t sure how to use. For example Victini from battle academy(007/073), is the first attack just drawing a card? Also Larvesta from battle academy (023/198), are you supposed to do what it says immediately after you get the card (“search deck for energy ….”) or when? Sorry for all the questions at once!
Ah yes! No problem, happy to help. So, all attacks have a cost and a name. The cost is the type and number of energy required to “unlock” that attack so that it can be used. In addition to the cost and name, attacks have either damage or an effect in descriptive text. Sometimes, attacks have both damage and an effect. Base Damage refers to the number printed next to the attack, if any, for example Tail Whip 30 has a base damage of 30 and deals thirty damage when used. Sometimes the numbers have an effect used to alter them and are written as 30+, 30-, or 30x. In this case the description will explain the calculation. For the Morpeko in question, there is no base damage but the effect of the attack is that you may choose any of your opponents Pokémon to deal 30 damage to, including the Bench which is unusual. If there was a base damage number and an effect like this, you would do both. Sometimes attacks ONLY have effects and do not deal damage, such as heal 40 damage or search your deck for an energy card and attach it to this Pokémon.
@@HGHEREDUCATONPLAYLEARN thank you! We’ll be watching more of your videos to keep learning!
Can you put a Pokémon in the active spot that doesn’t have energy and not attack? Or do al active have to have energy attached? What if you have no Pokémon on your bench with enough power to attack?
Where do you got this
There are numerous options online if you can’t find one in a store: www.pokemoncenter.com/product/290-80789/pokemon-trading-card-game-battle-academy-charizard-gx-raichu-gx-and-mewtwo-gx
Hi, what's the card size ?
These are standard English-size cards. Does that answer your question?
