    Staystitch seam allowance of the sleeve
    Ease seam
    Adjust ease
    Attach the sleeve to the bodice
    Adjust ease (after attaching the sleeve)
    Attach the sleeve Head Wadding
    Attach the shoulder pad
    Attach the lining sleeve to the lining bodice
    Hand invisible stitch sleeve head
    Hand invisible stitch the bottom of armhole
    Hand blind stitch the bottom of armhole
    It is a ladies Tailored jacket with full lining.
    Jackets are hard to sew compared to shirts and skirts anyway.
    For example, in case of shoulder, there are sleeve head wadding and shoulder pads and it is completely different from the sleeve of the shirt.
    But that is why it will be what a beautiful shape.
    The feeling when wearing is also the best.
    Design specification of the jacket is a waist pocket with the flap most commonly used.
    Back vent, front dart and functioning sleeve buttons.
    The chest pocket and the inner pocket are removed.
    As I did not want to take as much time as possible at filming, it is as simple as possible, but still have the necessary parts.
    As for bound welt pocket already uploaded, please refer it if you need.
    • How to sew a welt pock...
    Manual works (hand invisible stitch etc...) is packed.
    The jacket is really a treasure trove of technique.
    The main cloth is Flannel, and lining, sleek, interfacing are two kinds.
    Sewing specification
    Fabric : Flannel
    Full lining
    Flap waist pockets
    2 darts (Front 2)

    These films are a wonderful document of some very specific skills and processes at a certain point in manufacturing history, but they also deploy tailoring techniques that are pretty much timeless. Beautifully shot, clear, concise and really appreciate the skill of the machinists. Always great to watch something being done well, and these short films are little celebrations of manufacturing, a treat to watch, many thanks for posting.

    How do you ease the shoulder without snapping the thread, has happened to me so often, also what are both the seam allowances for the eased seams?

    • @ateliersaison
      @ateliersaison  Рік тому

      When doing staystitch on the seam allowance, I think the key is to reduce the number of stitches. It makes it easier to ease. The seam allowance depends on the design, but is usually 1cm. Sorry if I didn't understand your question correctly.

    • @10centable
      @10centable Рік тому

      @@ateliersaison Okay so if I'm getting this correctly it would be best to increase the stitch length. I was talking about to the two seams you lay on the sleeve head to ease. Thye both have two different seam allowances.

    • @ateliersaison
      @ateliersaison  Рік тому

      @@10centable OK. Yes, you are right. It would be the best to increase the stitch length. This will prevent the thread from snapping when you pull the stitches with your fingers. Sorry, I don't understand the two different seam allowances. To ease the sleeve cap, she did double stitch at this distance so that she made finer adjustments.

      Es una especie de bies que está fabricado con entretela o fiselina y lo aplican para que no se deformen las sisas en este caso del saco en el momento que lo están ensamblando, también lo puedes usar en los cuellos para que no se deforme, ya la venden en pequeños carretes y ya trae pegamento para que lo aplique con la plancha y hay de varias medidas de ancho, espero te haya servido la explicación, saludos
