I have a AC522CE. It sounds great! The workmanship and quality is as good any any guitar out there. The "Even C shaped neck" is awesome too. It feels the same at the 10th fret as it does at the first. I have other guitars with low oval and modified V and whatever else on some considerably more expensive guitars and IMO the Eastman neck is the best out of all of them. This quickly because my favorite guitar. And for you mahogany lovers out there, all I can say is I don't know where the Chinese get their mahogany, but the grain and figuring of it is nothing less than amazing. People who know nothing about guitars or wood have had their eyeballs popped and comment on how beautiful it is. Eastman should have put the strings on the back side!!! haha. Easily, this guitar by any other name would fetch well in excess of 6K$. Its a mind boggling work of art. This is not a dig on the guitar or Eastman but I did have to lower the action a bit, about 0.02 inch to get it to where I want it, but that's pretty much expected of any acoustic guitar from the factory. The factory set up is pretty good though and likely just fine for most folks.

A luthier recently told me you would not be able to tell the difference between a Martin, Gibson or Eastman in a blind test. This video shows why. Amazing sound.

Eastman is a remarkable new challenger in the guitar world, the quality/price ratio is hard to match. Their guitars are very convincing.

Hi Ian and viewers. The Eastmans are great, in their own right, and are a real alternative to the other leading brands, in my opinion. I’ve just got an AC 622ce , spruce paired with maple. Awesome, it’s replaced my Taylor 616c, same woods, but the Eastman more than won me over.
Check them out if you can……👍🏾

Hi Ian. I've been a subscriber and have enjoyed your channel quite a bit! Question: in your humble opinion, which guitar to you prefer between the Eastman E10 OM or the ACC322 CE? I'm on the fence regarding which one to get (I already have the E20 OM TC).

Thanks for the kind words George. I would probably go with the e10OM but that's mainly because aesthically I like the looks of "traditional" acoustics better :D you really can't go wrong

Well, I decided to buy the newest D'Angelico Tammaney Excel. I, too, like traditional guitars as well (I was apprehensive about the side sound hole, and I wasn't quite sold on the tone that I heard on so many YT reviews). I got the Tammany from Guitar Center Online, so if I don't like it, I can return it in 45 days (plus, I got 48 month financing at just over $20/month lol!). So, I'm now at 19 guitars!!! ha ha!!

Hey bro, love the videos! Question, I’m looking to buy a Dread or Slope Shoulder. Which Eastman would you buy?

Hi Ian, How would you compare that Eastman AC522ce to a Martin oo-18. I own a oo-18 but love the sound of the Eastman. Your honest opinion, please. Thanks Ian

It is perfect for Blues and Delta Blues and soft strumming. I found nothing better up to 3K€. In my opinion the AC522 and above have the tone magic other Eastmans lacks on. Including the E series. For heavy strumming i would choose another one. Gibson with it J45 Standard has the problem one is very good and the next ist garbish. And my Dealer only have one at once. The one he has currently is garbish. So purchase a used one online is to risky.

Is the sound the same as a 322?

    • @IckoDio

The 522 has a european spruce top wich is warmer with more overtones and it has a sound port wich gives you more feedback. The 322 has a sitka spruce top.

Really appreciate your effort in giving us a taste of these fine instruments, you should do a video on what your favorites are based on sound, playability and cost since you would have much more insight. im looking for an acoustic in the $2000 to $2500 range but because im a lefty, its impossible to try many options available to rightys.....any recommendations that would be similar to a Taylor 414ce Rosewood??? This Eastman, like mny others, has a lot more character than the taylors but i could be wrong........
