I wish VIXX went back to having such a dark concept. This song is what made me like VIXX. But I guess there is only so much they can do without repeating themselves. That's the problem with VIXX people like it when they do dark, but they can't continue doing that.
Seems like kpop bands always have to show off how versatile they're style is... which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just sucks that there are no groups that do consistently dark stuff. Western bands with dark themes get away with doing only those concepts - and it's pretty much expected. It seems that an overwhelming amount of starlights prefer the dark themes, but maybe they're trying to appeal to more mainstream stuff?
haahhaah that's what I noticed if the videos are just a bit more normal they concentrate more on the song but once the video gets crazy or is somehow mind blowing they forget about analysing totally hahaha

For a person who's watched tons of vixx reaction videos, this is a kind I've never seen. While watching a MV, your friends pick out major 3rd and minor 3rd chords from the song right away. A girl here understands the metaphor of the song Voodoo Doll even before going thru it. Also, your editing is really cool. I did enjoy this reaction video so much. Thank you. Too often we need to hear from non-kpop fans that k-pop is not even real music so it's amazing and so entertaining to see how real musicians can enjoy these songs and appreciate how they are made. I loved this episode! When you show them Hyde in part 2, will you show them a live version too? The only thing that makes me sad with Hyde is that you can't see the choreo in the MV and Hyde is probably my favorite VIXX choreo.

Also I love their insights -- like the switching from minor to major during the chorus for VIXX (and the puns afterwards haha), and the instant "Tchaikovsky???" in Henry's video, and the love for the Gregorian chanting for EXO, and just the /appreciation/ they have for MAMAMOO's skill/talent "It's modulation wtf WOW -- It didn't even cadence" (I had to do extended googling to work out what exactly that meant haha).

A few people have complained that these reactions weren't breaking down the technicalities of the music enough, or that I /should have/ done this, should be doing that (i do regret showing certain videos first tho and am doing my best to not do that again), and in the end it makes me feel kinda sad and start worrying that this series isn't good enough or organized enough.

People on UA-cam are often super harsh and thoughtless so take what they say with a grain of salt... there's always going to be tons and tons of lurkers who love what you're doing already, so they won't say anything. Like seriously look at your likes ratio! (I mean I haven't even liked the other videos, I just blew through them in one shot and totally forgot... And actually if you hadn't replied to this and indirectly reminded me I would've forgotten to go back and do it. Okay doing it now brb)
You really are doing a super good job, honestly these are some of the best edited reaction videos I've seen (...and I've seen waaaay too many OTL) and your love for actual Kpop and your care for what your friends are actually saying/doing is shining through.
