Hi, if i want to play live whitout my combo. I have a pedalbord with an always on overdrive. Do I need another pedal or device to plug my guitar direct into a mixer? Thank you!
@@CarnadaMéxico hey buddy, you would want a preamp type pedal between the od and the cabinet pedal. The OD will sound good as a preamp, but I have found that even a $20 booster with gain, volume, bass and treble will work great as an always on preamp and set the gain pretty clean. The three together will work great, esp once you find a cabinet sound you like.
How did you manage to load your custom (3th party ir) files if files from this pedals are in complete different format? This particular pedal has .ibx files Ir extension. Impulse response (IR) files are usually waveform files (.wav) extensions.
Right on, it is great. I think it is both the buttons at once? I just woke up and would need to go check, which I can do when I actually get up soon. But I think both at once for bypass.
Hola.

Cool video man, it's nice to see guys like me with YT channels 🤘 Don't mind me though, I'm just here looking at more budget gear that sounds amazing that I don't need 😂
Question. I have an Engl fireball 25 tube head with a line out option. If i connect this IR pedal to line out of amp and also have my pedalboard in the fx loop of the amp will i also get the pedalboard along with the heads sound in my in ear monitors connected to IR pedal. As i want the amp driven sound behind my pedal board effects. Thanks
@@MrFatPallasCat hey thanks man! I really started this channel to try to help people, not just push products. The comments are the best way to expand on that. Take care, bro.
Interesting pedal i think this one might be in pedalboard after it available in my country. Alr hv the mini amp and dig reverb from mvave and it works well
Wow, this little IR box packs a punch. Love the Hurriacne Tone was spot on, same with Tobacco Road. I'm pretty impressed with the range here, not to mention the abilty to not lug a cabinet around especiall for us 50+ players LOL. Great review as usual DD.🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@EvanAbaygar-zc5il I generally use it right after the preamp, and run stereo effects after it. Unless I am running mono and I also want my xlr output to have my post effects, like delay or reverb and stuff. Then I pop it at the end. Hope this helps!
IR cab spots only! Bring your own preamp. I think this was intended to go along with their mini amp pedal, which is a bunch of preamps. Thanks for watching 🤘🏻
Indeed 🤔 I’m trying to build a mini board, wanted something like this ir box taking only one pedal spot for amp emulation you know? I own the nux amp academy, it’s great but takes a lot of room, and I play Shoegaze so pedal real estate is really important 😅 if this thing could take preamp sims inside it’d be a dream come true
Do you know if there's any way via the software to set the jack output as bypass (no IR) and the IR just on the XLR? I'm looking for a budget solution to putting an IR after my FX loop effects to the PA and also sending the unaffected signal back into the amp's FX return.
@@RobCmusic hey man, I am pretty sure this doesn’t do that. I don’t recall seeing that option and just had a Quick Look at the manual. I did just review the Fesley multi effect unit and it has that option, but may be overkill for what you are looking for.
@@DoubleDguitar Thanks for the reply! I could use an ABY box after my delay FX to achieve the split. I was hoping to save some space on top of the amp, but it's not too much of a workaround. The IR Box looks like a great device. Thanks!
@@RobCmusic you got it and this would be perfect for that, if it was an option. I will dig a little deeper tonight, when I get in from work. Maybe they could do this in an update??
@@folknroll1591 hmm I am not sure, I think you would want their Tank G and use the preamp section for that. I know that is how people have loaded up acoustic guitar ones, and then add effects. But if you have them as .wav files, it just might!
@@DoubleDguitar respectfully, better to invest in IR BOX than Sonicake. The IR BOX has several more features and costs less. I believe that with new updates it will get even better.

Can use this pedal only as direct box?
