I take on board Paul's "If you had given me this when I was 15" thing with this pedal, and it is a really good price - even if over £80 today on Amazon UK - but someone else pointed out, the time you waste arsing around with these things to get the "perfect sound" (I have the Tonex and Headrush MX5 - I have form in this mad world lol) can see your entire night gone when you could have just been playing the bloody guitar :) I would definitely recommend this to someone starting out wanting an all in one reasonably priced unit though. If you're young and not used to the "old ways" of pedals and amps and knobs, then this could be a great starting point into the future of digital guitar effects and IRs. Also headphones so your Mum doesn't shout at you while you rock is cool.

he's right, the mesa boogie duel rectifier sounded like a mk2+c [early metallica] , the tone before that sounded like a dual rectifier [90's metal] to me ..
What a great travel rig! Battery powered, headphone jack, bluetooth songs through it. Throw it in a bag and take with you on vacation for headphone play. Would be fun to play with the tones and effects.
Honestly, this thing is a complete no-brainer just as gig insurance, and a practice tool. Is it going to be as good as your primary rig for these purposes? No… but it might just save your bacon in the case of your rig going down on the gig. And the Bluetooth receiver function is killer for practice purposes. I’ve got the predecessor unit to this one (the Cube Baby). It’s great for the purposes outlined above, but I have two gripes with the unit. One, the tuner only works for standard tuning… no love for us Eb players; Two, manageable, but nonetheless slightly noticeable, latency. I wonder if they’ve addressed those issues in the Tank G…
Some of these have a flaw that can result in failure or fire. The battery sits under the PCB which is under one of the stomp switches. Constant stomping on the switch can cause the sharp component wire ends protruding from the underside of the PCB to pierce the Lithium battery. The fix is to snip of any sharp excess, file smooth and add some cushioning. There's a UA-cam vide showing this, search for 'URGENT WARNING: TANK-G CAN BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN!'.
