      MT Promices it's a total snake move. He goes to the team that came back 3-1 on him and doesn't tell anyone on the team he left from. His championships will be stained if he ever wins one with the warriors. Let's see what lebron has to say about it first.

    Sad how this is Durant's 10th year and he doesn't get killed for not winning. Lebron was getting murdered since his 5th year and still gets killed and he has 3 chips. Crazy.

      he asked for it? The media made that happen. He was deemed the Chosen One, he was on the cover of Sports illustrated as a sophomore in HIGH SCHOOL. Bruh, he didnt ask for it. But i tell you what, he definitely lived up and SURPASSED the hype. No one else can say they did the same.

      He was scared because Westbrook would snap on him, Westbrook is a real dude he would have probably gotten pretty angry with KD. But yeah KD should have called him still. It's kinda like a dumping your girlfriend over text because you are scared to do it in person.

      Dennis Vu He didn't owe him that. That would just be pleasing the media and fake. They probably weren't that close. As Durant said they moved in different camps, the media try to make them seem like best friends. If he didn't need to text all his teammates then he didn't need to text Russ. Who cares about that Durant is whack for going to the team that beat him. Him leaving or the situation with Russ is irrelevant.

    He just needs to stop talking about it. He was the one who was up 3-1 and lost it and then a month later joined a 73 win team who just beat them. OKC isn't talking about you, you brought it upon yourself. Just shut up and play Durant, shut up and play.

      KD is so WEAK. I heard analogy, what if Tom Brady lost to Falcons (instead of making the miraculous comeback), then switched teams to the Falcons the next year. It's unimaginable. Why does KD get a pass? I've never seen anything like it in sports. It was his choice, just so WEAK. League needs more parity overall, getting dull.

  • @C2Poke
    @C2Poke 7 років тому +152

    Russ wasn't the reason KD left OKC. His chosen destination destroys that notion. If KD's main reason for leaving OKC was because he didn't think he could win a title with Russ, he wouldn't have gone to the most loaded team in the NBA. If it was really about Russ, then he would have chosen to play with CP3 in LA or Wall in DC. But he chose to play with another score-first PG who shoots more than Russ. Why would he do that? Because it was never about Russ. KD simply wanted to play on a team that was so talented that it could win titles without him having to be the man and carry the load.

    • @ladarriusjennings8914

    • @professorfinesser5774
      @professorfinesser5774 7 років тому +12

      Cornell Cannon you damn right if Imma leave a team that was one win away from a trip to the NBA finals why tf would I downgrade to play with the clippers, wizards, celtics etc. imma upgrade. Plus the clippers couldn't afford to get kd anyway they would've had to get rid of Blake, cp3, or deandre plus some of their bench to make room for his contract. Realistically no team kd could've went to in the east would've put him above the cavs and no team in the west besides MAYBE the spurs would've put him above gsw. So it only made sense to join his friends down in the bay

      Lebron had to form a team compare to KD already joining a well established stack team... Heat didnt go 73-9, and just coming off fresh of a back2back final appearance... Big difference. Lebron didn't lose to the Heat too... That's like Lebron joining the Celtics team back in 2010 to form a big 4 with Rondo/Pierce/KG.

    You can't go 1 for 8 from the field in the 4th quarter of a critical game 7 and blame someone else for losing. He choked and bounced - KD is a beta, I've been saying it for years, and he proved it. He could have gone to all but 2 teams and no-one would have had a problem with him leaving. But, he chose the 1st team on the list.

    @sportswithjarretthoffman7977 7 років тому

    As a whole, KD was wrong. When he talked about the comment about the Warriors being unselfish and the media trying to cause conflict from that comment, yes he is absolutely right. But this "drama" with Russ began when he did not give his teammate of 8 years a heads up when he decided to leave to go to the Warriors. Whether its because he didn't have he courage to tell Russ he was joining the team that beat them in the Playoffs previously or as he said he and Russ just weren't that close, facts is Russ took it personally and he hasn't tried to reach out to him to try to mend fenced not once since he's left. To me KD has handled this entire situation poorly, he has come off as corny and in some ways immature and that is why this "drama" exists.

    Kevin Durant leaving wasn't just about getting a championship.. It was also about preserving his brand ranking/popularity and marketability. Curry had been siphoning a lot of attention away from Kevin Durant (and LeBron for that matter) with NBA fans. Kevin Durant going to golden state effectively keeps his name up, while stealing a little light/glory back from Curry. Since Durant has gone to GSW, we haven't heard much about Curry

    I don't think KD leaving has anything to do with Westbrook. I just think he was just frustrated with the Thunder organization. You would figure that if your team is close to winning a championship, you wouldn't trade a key piece of your team...you would try to add to it. It happened with Harden and then to Ibaka. He probably just realized that the Thunder were content with being a good team, but weren't committed to being champions. Even if they would have gotten past GS, they would still have to face the Cavs. He knew it wasn't going to happen in OKC. And when deciding on where he would go, he probably felt there were only 3 teams that were championship contenders...Golden State, Cleveland, and San Antonio. Cleveland and San Antonio already have superstar small forwards so he chose the team that didn't.

    • @sarangdesai9035
      @sarangdesai9035 7 років тому

      Trading Harden wasn't something they planned. Once in an interview, Ibaka said Harden wanted to leave. He was sad, but he wanted out. In OKC he would be 6th man of the year forever. He wanted "his" team.

    • @syun54
      @syun54 7 років тому

      Sarang Desai Harden didn't necessarily want to leave...he wanted to get paid. He would've stayed if okc would have been willing to pay to keep him. They weren't, so he left.

    • @sarangdesai9035
      @sarangdesai9035 7 років тому

      Yeah, he wanted either money or star position. They couldn't offer any, so he left.

    • @sarangdesai9035
      @sarangdesai9035 7 років тому

      And KD is 6'10". He can easily play any 4 positions on the floor. So he could've played 4 in SA. That would've been a superteam. Kawhi, KD, LaMarcus.
      LeBron played 4 in Miami, so he could've played 4. That would've been superteam.
      Irving, James, Love, Thompson.
      So he was weak, and wanted the ring easiest way possible.

    • @syun54
      @syun54 7 років тому

      Yes he could have played the 4...but he would have still been criticized for joining a superteam anyways. Might as well join a team where he could play his natural position. And...the easiest way for him to get a ring would have been to join the cavs. They are defending champs.

You gave life to that monster when you allowed guys like Ron Artest Tony Allen Shawn Marion and even Jason Kidd to bully you the way they did. You had the power of influence in the palm of your hands. That means you could've influenced some of the decisions that Sam Presti made but of course you didn't . You just went with the status quo.
