Based in Los Angeles, The 44s have been tearing up the blues club and blues festival circuit for almost twenty years. Since its inception, guitarist and vocalist Johnny Main has been at the forefront of this band, while a talented roster of musicians have rotated in and out along the way. For Twist the Knife, Main assembled a new line up which includes Eric Von Herzen (harmonica), Mike Hightower (bass), Gary Ferguson (drums) and Junior Watson (guitar). With the exception of the opening track, “Cuttin’ Deep,” written by Main, the album pays homage to several blues legends, covering music which has contributed to the robust American roots rock canon.

That's a great post my friend. Love the harmonica, always adds a certain melancholic feeling and with this voice it totally fits the moment. Right now I am home alone, waiting for my son to pick me up to go to this big party and it's time for some musings about all the things happening last year..... Some memories make me sad, others give joy, like most of us experience. But all in all, most of us should be happy being alive and living in peace. I loved this song and especially the way it started. I was mesmerised by the deep, slow bass, even though I found the harmonica a bit rowdy. But this man's voice was so gritty and humerous and it made me smile. Thank you, Don for always putting out great blues for us.

Last night we were at some new years eve party... But the "music" there was crap. (I joked asking the servis, how much they paid them to play so I can overpay them not to play). So we took few bottles, my guitar and went to our appartment to enjoy good times only with friends and some cool blues tones we made ourselfs. Best New Years night ever!
