"Dark Impetus" is a fan-favorite, and our take is equal parts true to the original and venturing into new territory. The instantly-recognizable violin solo throughout, performed by Patti Rudisill, is highlighted while orchestral accompaniment ebbs and flows underneath with more fitting reharmonizations of the original track.
Halfway through the arrangement, the violin meets with our vocal soloist--Laura Intravia--who briefly describes this unknown force with the following: "Et audi famam illius cucurrit quaeque tetigit destruens. Impetus tenebris."
The track finishes as Aqua, Ventus, and Terra face this newcomer in succession, ending as it began with a final hint to the hooded figure's true identity.

In celebration of KINGDOM HEARTS and the stunning melodies of Yoko Shimomura, Utada Hikaru, Takeharu Ishimoto, and Tsuyoshi Sekito, we present Project Destati’s second volume.
DARKNESS is the highly-anticipated follow-up album to Project Destati’s 2014 Billboard-charting soundtrack album “LIGHT.” The album is a musical amalgamation of fan-favorite themes from the KINGDOM HEARTS series, re-assembled in an all-new fashion like long-forgotten memories.
Featuring a live string orchestra and industry-leading soloists, DARKNESS is a dark, grand, and mysterious musical experience that aims to capture Tetsuya Nomura’s own imagination.

What does Laura's lyrics mean in English
I believe this was a sonata form, it’s where in that particular part of the song the conductor mixes and bends the song into his own creation using parts and pieces of notes

Gotta love the violin. That Soprano vocalist was also a wonderful touch.

The vocals are the lyrics from the super smash bros brawl theme if I’m not mistaken.
One of the most difficult bosses ever created to the series, deserves a theme as magnificent as this one. A hooded figure that manipulates shadows and time; all in search of useful vessels to the True Organization XIII. And that soloist is simply amazing! Congratulations!!
If we ever fight Young Xehanort, with this theme in KH3, it will sound unique.
Not difficult at all but very poorly designed. When the number of viable commands out of many dozens for the battle can be counted on one hand and involve just spamming circle is just poor design. MF is not even that hard when using said strategy.
Agreed. It's something I don't approve of personally with the KH titles. Final Mixes in particular. Many bosses have a very awesome concept to them, but when they're cheapened down to incredible levels, it takes some of that away.

...Yeah, by spamming Surges. Hurr durr, what an achievement.
No Heart is similar, although you could atleast apply some deckbuilding strat against him, rather than blindly spamming Surges.
KH2 was all about Reflect when stuff got tough, and Lingering Will is dumbed down incredibly by just having Stitch summoned.
So hopefully KH3 creates something brilliant. It doesn't need to be Soulsborne tier, but so long as it isn't cheap.

With Mysterious figure try to not use thunder surge. Use other commands like Unison Rush. Same with No Heart. And Lingering Will don't use Stitch.

If you include Anti-Aqua's KH3 theme in your next Project, I think there is no better candidate to do the vocal parts as Laura Intravia! She did a splendid job here !!

Took me while to realize why people consider Terra the worst to battle The Unkown: his dashed are TERRIBLE to maneuver and avoid the attacks.
@@The_Twero Actually, they are not bad if you use them correctly. It can quickly get you away from his attacks, the downside is that there aren't invincibility frames so you have to be precise and have good reflexes. Unless YXH does that attack with all those balls that shoot blades. In that case only shotlocks can save you.

I just noticed that if you have one ear bud and listen through just through the right one, the chorus part sounds all distorted and echoed, but if you use both it plays normally, I don't know if there's an Easter egg there or not, but I like it either way

I personally love and think Xehanorts and Xemnas themes are the best in the whole Franchise
4 people couldn't beat Young Xehanort
The vocals are very similar in wording to Super Smash Bros Brawl's theme. This could simply be inspiration... or definitive proof of someone new appearing in Ultimate. I can safely assume the game will have plenty of *DARKNESS*.

OOOH my favorite finalllyyyyyyy sooooo gooooood.....
It's good don't get me wrong (also the voice is amazing), but it doesn't give the same aggresive, hopless feel, that critical momentum you felt with the oringinal track the constant chills on your spine. This one is more calmfull in my opinion.
