People say this is disrespectful but this has been a somewhat party tradition to dance with a Filipino twist. We are not trying to be disrespectful to the Hawaiians and to the other Pacific Islanders. Instead, we admire how beautiful your dances are, the intricate details and skills to have such beautiful performance. Too bad that we, Filipinos, are not equipped with such skills to perform an authentic one. And so we made it with our version since all of us Pinoys loves to dance. Is that even hard to think of another positive way?
