Thank you so much for this video Maria. I cried hearing it as I relate to so much of your experience and so much of what has happened to you has happened to me. I wish I had found your videos a few months ago when I started having the dystonia symptoms but instead I saw the infamous letsrun thread and other negativity online and just didn't want to hear anymore. Thank you for being a beacon of positivity and progress. I am trying to do the same myself now as I go through the first stages of this battle. I have started to share some videos of my experience and progress and I hope you continue to do the same as it is so needed!
Hey Maria! I stumbled upon this via the letsrun thread. I’ve been dealing with this exact issue for four months now. I’m a 25 year old ex college runner, I ran 2:44 in the Boston Marathon last April. I was training for the Houston marathon which was a couple weeks ago but because of this issue I’ve been forced to stop all together. I’m spiraling into what I assume is a form of depression, it feels like I’ve lost a piece of my life and I simply don’t see a way to get back to my old self. I’d love to touch base and share experiences. Please let me know where I could reach you. Thanks! :)
