Was a young teen when On Any Sunday came out. Lake Elsinore still hosts this motorcross event each year. Yes, a trip back to the good ol days! Unlike today's world where no fun like this is allowed anymore.......... ugh :(

@warrenchild394.. The association i belonged to and who’s club races i competed in hosted a couple of town sponsored gp’s . They were fun and the townsfolks got behind them and were welcoming to the riders and went out of thier way to accomodate us competitors. Other communities hosted the starts of point to point hare and hounds and another unique location
Was the sight of our championsship hare and hound. They let us camp in their town and gave us the run of the place on the weekend we all were there. golden memories of an era thats time has come and gone.

@harleyoil63.. I wish my brother and i would’ve kept all of our bikes and gear. Itd be a worthwhile collection. Who knew...

@keph33.. Too bad. Was it a mag husky. I think thats the best bike they ever produced. Outstanding suspension, handling and the case reed delivered smooth power through the band. That bike ate up rough courses with ease. It Extremely boosted one’s confidence and effortlessly vastly improved whoever owned, raced or rode one. A bike for the ages..

@user-qc1dl5qo9r.. That was a mouthful. Im not a fan of that style of racing but “king“ kenny is a one of a kind rider. To do what he does so well at break-neck speed is astonishing . All due respect ,there must be two large scooped out indentions on his sest where his massive testicles reside. No other way to put it, hes fast and fearless. Pray i havnt offended or disrespected.not my intent

On any Sunday came out when I was a kid riding enduros, observed trials, you know, throttle control, balance, and basically how to set up a competition motorcycle. Of course you have to hide the 125 or 250cc flattracker from mom,but still, at 16 i won a 10th place trials trophy out of an international field of 88 in my class at the N.E.O.T.T. GROUNDS IN LEAONARD OKLAHOMA. Silver mug trophy and got to meet the then World champion, Mick Andrew's. Who liked my OSSA PLONKER. He actually let me ride a Yankee Enduro bike he had along. He was bound up a bit a sling on one arm. A YANKEE WAS a 500cc two stroke twin like 2 OSSA 250 Engines mounted side by side! A screamer for sure!

@@bigtime474..very nice..im from las vegas and desert racing was king And huskies ruled the sand. TT and flat track’s time had come and gone and mx was in its infancy. The only enduro staged was slightly before my time so i never rode one. Im blessed to have had the good fortune to have competed in numerous 100 mile desert races and later in the “new“ sport of mx. Tough way to have a good time.

Thanks for putting on UA-cam but this is no "On Any Sunday." It has none of the class or the understated humor of the original. Stopping watching half way in.

Just like Endless Summer, the original On Any Sunday was jammed with charm and humor, which this sequel lacked horribly

I have REAL signatures of EVERY AMA Grand National Champion from 1940-1980, 18 individual signatures ... all on the same page of my American Racer: 1940-1980 book (by Stephen Wright, signed by him too!!). And it's a Limited Book Edition with Gold Leaf Leather cover/binding. I often wonder what this is worth??? .. any guesses???

Interesting film. I hadn't seen it before. It's very different from OAS1. Overall OAS1 has a more impromptu goofy feel to it. In OAS2 the goofiness feels intentional. If you like vintage mc race footage it's worth a watch. I had never heard of Japanese Speedway. If Cycle or Cycle Guide did a feature on it back in the day I don't recall it.
I cannot believe they recycled the worst part of the desert racing sequence from OAS1. That scene should have ended up on the cutting room floor in OAS1. To include it in the sequel is inexplicable.

Some places, but not many, thank yourself lucky if you feel like ya are in your town in 2024. It’s like the 70s where I am 👌. But better, bikes are better, got a Walky Talky ( IPhone ) that can get significantly better signal than the 70/80,s 😂
