Just tried your pressure testing engine coolant with a bicycle pump... You are a very clever young man. There are several videos on here showing all kinds of complicated ways to do this. Your method is by far the easiest, and it works! You earned yourself a new subscriber! Are you still active on your channel? You should have way more subscribers than you do.

I don't have a radiator cap on my vehicle that I've found so giving Autozone the $250 to rent (I'd get it back of course) the special tool may have not even worked if it didn't have an adapter for the reservoir tank. My reservoir tank does have a short overflow hose coming out of it, so I'm able to use a bicycle pump to pressurize the system without removing the cap hopefully.

I have a 2002 jaguar s-type with no radiator cap, it has the plastic expansion tank. How can I do a coolant pressure test for my car?

I tried this but my radiator cap has a seal that stops the air flow from getting into the radiator. It’s just a standard cap set up like in this video. Edit-Fix- I bought another cap and drilled a small hole through the bottom part. Now it works great using this guys bicycle pump trick.
