The candid discussion you had today with waziri Kipchumba Murkomen is precisely the discussions that need to be held with all the leaders in public service. This was, in my opinion, one amongst the best interviews thus far. You, as usual, skilfully held his feet to the fire, but his rebuttal also deserves credit. Having said that, it's worth mentioning that, had he demonstrated the same passion and dedication in fulfilling his ministerial duties, the public wouldn't be questioning his extravagance or opulence. Not to single him out, this applies to ALL other politicians and public figures who’ve been running down this country for far too long. People want less rhetoric, more positive actions, and accountability.
Good conversation with Murkomen. CT's questions regarding a life cycle approach to engineering planning, design and implementation is standard practice globally. Having worked on some large infrastructure projects in Kenya (as an expat), I found this approach to be a difficult pill for the government to take. They tended to prefer an around the corner view to engineering projects rather than plan for the full life cycle.

Westlands and parklands Roads are full of portholes. Kaharati to Kigumo in Muranga District is a disaster, so many Roads are terrible!!! And the Contractors because of Corruption of Kitu Kidogo to get the Contract aren’t doing Jobs too!!!!!

How can someone be so stupid to sign contract projects where there's no u turn if the contractor is not working, has done a shaby works, or giving some contractors work who don't have capital for themselves, who start working with the money they are paid and if they are not paid again, work stops, we have incompetent and corrupt govt officials in the civil departments all over the country, despite them going around the world for benchmarking, ideas they don't have, it's a shame, before our country was giving other countries blueprints for development, it's sickening to hear they cannot even plan or run a parastatals.

Why are contractors not paid, ending up with unfinished projects that had already been budgeted for and money allocated?Answer- Uhuruto and present regime have been shamelessly corrupt and wreckless.Dont take us on another ride in useless commissions and dialogues that are an avenue of buying time and opportunities for bribing dubious stakeholders.Note that Kenya shilling is going to rapidly deeply depreciate in the next 3 months owing to the recent disturbances and shaky government.
