I noticed here where I live the outside thermometer was showing 16ºc the other evening so I decided to bring them in our weather is so unpredictable its quite warm again now but I believe in being cautious. Many thanks for watching and happy growing.
Absolutely fantastic video! My Den. hancockii is doing very well. I have it mounted on cork with a light padding of sphagnum moss. I water it most days with no rest. The canes are growing about 18” (45cm. ) long. Good luck with the slugs. I have had luck with an iron based product called Cory’s.
Cheers Wade would love to see hancockii grow on, this year as been a terrible for slugs and snails but the fight must go on. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great tour Mick! I’m currently ‘with Covid’ so at least it gives me chance to watch some good videos. 🤷♂️ I know what you mean re the shading. I’ve taken about half off but there’s nothing more guaranteed to bring the sun out! 🤣 Do you think Massies don’t really care about seasons as my Ignea is about to bloom despite it usually blooming in late winter!
Firstly sorry to hear you have Covid symptoms, yes I’m glad I didn’t remove my shading it’s quite sunny today even with the wind. I’ve found massie’s bloom when they want not when they should let’s face it most of the information gathered relates to the natural environment where they grow in the wild not a tropical greenhouse up north, enjoy the blooms my friend.
Good morning Mick and thanks for the tour. It's good to see a greenhouse full of very healthy plants with some fabulous blooms. I'm hoping that the cooler weather will give my massies a kick start.......they've been very quiet over the warmer months as we should expect from this specie. Thanks again Mick I enjoyed it very much.......take care, Ed.
Morning Ed, I know we shouldn't welcome the cooler weather but if you grow masses its really hard work during the summer months especially when the temperatures are up and down like we've been having here in the UK and yes you watch your masses grow and flourish over the next few months, like I always say we might even get a few bloom next season fingers crossed, stay safe buddy.
It's like being in an ice cream store--each one i see is my favorite. Always enjoyable!
Thank you Mark I’m glad you enjoyed the video. First time bloomers are the best for me.
Always like to have a look at your flowers they are very beautiful thank you for sharing
Mick as ever fascinating looking at your plants, can't wait for the shop to be restocked.
Thanks Colin, I’m adding then over a period of time as some of still quite small and I’m waiting for them to bloom so I know it’s the correct plant.
Excellent video, full of tips. Your passion always inspires me. Many thanks Mick. All the best. Selva, London.
Thank you salva glad you enjoyed the video, Yes it’s definitely my passion.
Always enjoyable, loads of tips and inspiration. I'm thinking of bringing mine inside, especially as autumn proper has arrived. Thanks Mick

Nice of you to give a bit of highlight to “What’s Up Orchids?” I watch her as well (and of course have subscribed.)
Thanks, yes she’s a fairly new channel and just needs a little support to get to that 1K mark.
