Probably one of my favorite cards of yours to date. Love the color hues, the tactile texture AND mostly, the sentiment stamps (which I already own!). Love that 💜
Cathy, I purchased a mini cutting board and used it to put my card stock on with a binder clip, them used the heat tool and I have found that my card stock does not warp much at all. Your card is pretty and I enjoy watching all your videos. Stay cool. MaryLisa
Cathy Z, that card is stunning, love the colors and texture. Was waiting for your love, something came up, oh well, got to see it anyway. Cool confetti also
Love this! Love the color combo💚💙💜, love this embossing folder, and the sentiment! I love this sentiment set. I purchased it a while ago to make cards to send to girls at college this year. Love your creativity CZ!! Thank you for sharing!
Hi Kathy, love all your cards and just wanted to pass on a tip for you. I have found that some cardstock is cut just that little bit longer than 11” hence you have to trim that little bit off, measure before you cut your bases to see what I discovered because it used to bug me when when layers did not line up, cheers Penny
So beautiful! Love the cool colours and the delish texture from the embossing folder. Perfect finish with the TCFC moonstone confetti. Love this card xoxo
CATHY Z, P.S., I just had to order that new confetti, Moonstone and a bunch of other colors, you are such an enable. This calls for confetti has some of the best colors and finishes I’ve ever seen. Tfs
I have a weird thing for circles and I’m going to have to own that embossing folder UH’ I just remembered I just got Bought 3 new cool ones from Altenew and one is overlapping circles like those!!! I really love it! Great card!
I really love embossing folders, and they just keep getting better and better. This color combo is great! Btw...I frequently try to ink my stamps up with a lid... ugh!
Jenell, sometimes when you emboss with an embossing folder, the paper can tear or "crack". If you do a light mist of water, it softens or loosens the paper fibers (from what I've heard on other videos) and the paper seems to mold itself to the folder better.
Most of the time? Nothing! I love to have the full inside of a card to write to my recipient! I get a bit wordy and like to really personalize my message!
Hmmm. Not sure what your question is. Do you mean can use use regular dies for hot foiling? I think you can, but they might not look the same as dedicated hot foil plates. I've never done it. : ) But yes, I think you can!
Hi! I enjoy your videos . I don't have heattool, and can't do the white text . But can I get raised , white letters another way (besides diecut)? If not, what white ink, realy white, is ok? I like Versafine clair, Tsukineko, pigment ink. What ink I have thats white, not this, didn't find, is not giving much color... Im pretty new to stamping and when I resently found this ink, it became more easy to stamp! But I need both white and other, maybe ivory... Thanks for tips, photos and videos, I enjoy watching !
Cathy - beautiful card and the colors are outstanding! Btw, you probably have listed this somewhere within your videos but, who's music is that in the background when you're speeding through the video? My little 6-year old and I both really like it - kind of reminds me of the band Phish.
Hey Cathy- which is the better of these two brands……… a 9” bira bira or the spellbinder platinum machines? Please let me know your opinion as soon as you can please …and 😊
@@czdesign the bira has dials on the side that you can adjust the rollers tight to loose instead of having to make or guess at plate configurations ….(which I suck at-lol!!) I have the big electric Gemini like yours and it’s heavy and a pain and I never seem to get the conf. Right! I’ll let you know how the bira works -and there is a UA-cam video that shows the Side dials. Another neat thing - the back part of the platform opens up to store the removable handle or any other tools you might want to. 😊 Thank you for getting back to me so quickly!😊😊 P.s. I wasn’t trying to bash the brand you have I think the bira came out later than the spellbinders.
Indeed they are! I'm breaking them in! They are called Rose named after Moira Rose from Schitt's Creek. They are part of Dan Levy's eyewear collection! thisisdl.com/products/rose-optical-matte-black
Beautiful card! I'm curious has anyone ever had to straighten an embossing folder? I have a couple SSS embossing folders that I probably shouldn't have ran through and now they're curved. I was thinking about using a heat tool or the boiling water method Jennifer McGuire uses for plates but I'm nervous.
I don't have an answer for you, but have you tried running it through the machine the opposite way of the curve? Maybe add a little shim to add a small amount of pressure, to help flatten it. Someone had suggested I do that with a warped die before. I'd be afraid to use Jennifer's method with embossing folders in case they would melt. I hope this helps!
@@Love2Create62 thank you! I have tried running it through the opposite way. It kinda flattened it but not back to its original shape! Maybe I shouldn't have that expectation but I get annoyed with myself every time I see the folders that I messed up *sigh* I'm afraid of melting them too!
Don't be too hard on yourself, we all make crafting mistakes and learn from them. The first time I ever used a Gemini Jr I used what I thought were dies that came with the machine, but they were for cutting vinyl and thicker materials! Anyway I ruined every single plate and shim I used! I even tried different sandwiches, not realizing what I was doing! I had to buy every plate and shim that came with the machine! I am still sick about it today! 🤦♀️
I love this card. The colors, the embossing folder, the sentiments, the confetti. And, of course, the Boop.
So glad!
New glasses? COOL!
Thank you!! They are DL Eyewear by Dan Levy!
Love the card. Bring on the purples. Those moonstone embellishments are cool !
Fun card. You can dump more powder over the heated molten embossing powder too - can make a nice effect.
That embossing folder is groovy. You’ve got a groovy style vibe going on lately. It’s coolieo

Hi from Trinidad in the Caribbean. Lovely!😍
Hey there!
Cathy,
I purchased a mini cutting board and used it to put my card stock on with a binder clip, them used the heat tool and I have found that my card stock does not warp much at all. Your card is pretty and I enjoy watching all your videos. Stay cool. MaryLisa

Gorgeous card! Love the cool rainbow blend - the embossing texture & the white heat embossing on purple paper. Perfect combo! ❤️
I really like how you ink blend on the diagonal for the background. Very pretty card.

Beautiful colors. I wish I could afford the stamp and die set together….
Maybe you could adapt this idea to stamps you have already???

You know, I have found that here and there too! I need to measure before cutting!
Gorgeous!
Love this!
As always so very beautiful.

Thank you for sharing great techniques. Beautiful cards!
Hi Kathy - from Illinois
Hello!!

Cute card
Love this card! Can't wait to get my embossing folder in!
HI Cathy - from NC 👋🏽
Lovely card! TFS!
What size do you typically ink blend on before you cut down? Gorgeous colours abd love this card
I usually start with a 4.25 x 5.5 panel. I cut my white cardstock into fours and just grab one of those!
CATHY Z, P.S., I just had to order that new confetti, Moonstone and a bunch of other colors, you are such an enable. This calls for confetti has some of the best colors and finishes I’ve ever seen. Tfs
I ordered some too. 😂
Wonderful!

You might try white ink with white embossing powder
Oh right! I will rememeber that!
I really love embossing folders, and they just keep getting better and better. This color combo is great! Btw...I frequently try to ink my stamps up with a lid... ugh!
Hello Cathy!
Hey! You crossed 60K! Congrats. Remember me if you would like giveaways. And…you used purple! Thank you.
I love this simple card, Cathy. And the colors you chose - Perfect. My question is - why did you spray water on the back side before you embossed?
Jenell, sometimes when you emboss with an embossing folder, the paper can tear or "crack". If you do a light mist of water, it softens or loosens the paper fibers (from what I've heard on other videos) and the paper seems to mold itself to the folder better.
Yes, what Lucy said!
@@czdesign @Lucy C - Thank you both for that great answer. Makes total sense and I will do that from now on.
Love it!
Love this card.... Question. When you use words on the front what do you put in the inside?
Most of the time? Nothing! I love to have the full inside of a card to write to my recipient! I get a bit wordy and like to really personalize my message!
Hi Cathy
Can you use any gold die cut for hot foiling?
Hmmm. Not sure what your question is. Do you mean can use use regular dies for hot foiling? I think you can, but they might not look the same as dedicated hot foil plates. I've never done it. : ) But yes, I think you can!
Such a cool card! The texture looks amazing.
Kathy, your skin looked so dewy and youthful in the video--what's your secret?
I have been using Westman Atelier products! Kind of pricey! But I swear, it looks decent on camera! Check 'em out: rwrd.io/jwyztns?c
