Thank you so much for this video! I've been trying to look up the types of rocks at Crystal Cove and I couldn't find much. This video was very informative!

Excellent, excellent, excellent. Thanks for sticking up for stink bugs. I'm going to send your episode to my daughter-in-law who lives in Topanga.

Love that spider. I had 2 under my kitchen sink all last summer. Not sure where they went for winter.

Awesome vid. Now understand more of "terroire" tastes and flavors of wines, related to the geological conditions of the soil. Grain- and wine-growers (best terroire sites) want to find silty soil for its habit of retaining the proper water balance in the soil, and its crumbly, tillable content. All of this, versus sandy soil (rain running through - and gone!) or clay/muds (rain pooling or running off - and massive erosion!). DIfferent plants and grasses grow in different terroire. You said these grasses were growing on silicious quartzy sand/sandstone, while the brush was growing on a different soil ... that ~could~ appear to be silty ... and NOT !!! damnable CALICHE compacted clay/mud concrete-soils (?).

Thx! I wonder what caused the shallow caves by Corona Del Mar…? Pockets of looser sand? Carved by cave dwellers? Washed away boulders? I dunno…
