Talked about 'centuries' of brahmin privilege but never addressed the hateful propoganda in parts of India (ie. Periyar and his campaigns against brahmins). I'm glad he called out the hypocrycy because the Americans he addressed were definitely playing the woke game of getting political points for being oppressed but I think instead the article just reinforced the idea that brahmins are basically white people of India which is a false parallel to draw.

We should first be assured in our minds about our great past, its rich culture & traditions, then & only then we would be able to make understand western minds with pre-conceived notions about the depth & universalism of our ancient civilization! Swami Vivekanand ji has already shown us the way ahead🙏
5:55 I was just thinking about how he was exactly describing Turkey, and he just straight up said it.
That's what I always said and thought that the our post independence political leaders were not Indian in true and cultural sense.
Except Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Haha I follow Razib Khan and have seen how people abuse him for telling the truth 😂😂 . As usual Brilliant discussion
First 8 min, stopped at secular point- secularism is great when its an option to Abrahamic oppressive religions. In Bharat, Sanatan traditions are anyway evolved on multifiold logic and experiential evidence hence scientific in nature! Hence Ethos of sanatan is inclusive! Hence their intereference in state would never be a problem! Hence western secularism is useless in Bharat while its a must in France!
Brilliant podcast
Razib Khan is so right. Modi is from the people, and he does not have the false veneer of the so called popular culture.
On Caste jati (not varna) issue read KS Lal, pro historian book:
Growth of Schedule tribes & caste in medival India
Yes Rajib, you are evolving, towards sanatana.... what we have, to talk to people from Iran, and many other countries .... om rishibhyo namah .... the treasure our rishis have left us, the beauty of it, you would have understood and defended wonderfully if you had been born in a brahmin family... and may be also propogated to Iranians...
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Namaste amazing talk
The message that hindus or people of the dharmic traditions should spread the gift of liberation/moksa/nirvana/enlightenment or whatever you call it.
We must unconvert the people to liberation. For that we need active institutions that are not shy to do it.
Because those who convert people are not shy, they are aggressive and active.
Small correction: Jinnah didn't write the Discovery of India...but Nehru did. Jinnah wasn't known for writing or reading.
it was unconscious mistake, he knows nehru wrote this
@@amitkashyap8642 yes, I also thought so.
Nice talk..
kaliyuga is like Qayyamat in islam and armageddon in Christianity and swastika went from Helena Blavatsky to hitler from india, and caste is a Portuguese word casta...
Very informative…
Nice discussion
Wow, to be able to speak at that speed & still maintain coherent train of thought.
bengal’s political elites are still mostly Brahmins.
India can only move forward after 1. discussing our historical wounds openly and honestly 2. Having these conversations among our own people rather than using external colonial forces to 'help' us because their intention is seldom good. Razib is absolutely right that we also need basically a better PR campaign for the West, something sorely missing in India. It's ironic to me tha the West which talks about cultural relativism and in not being racist is so exceptionally blind in how remarkably racist its institutions - whether academia or the media - are.
very good discussion
I have come across good news propagators many a time to save me from sin and hell. But they get annoyed when I politely ask questions.
Not Jinnah but Nehru wrote ‘Discovery of India’.
"Indian Indians" are not exposed to badmouthing, polemics, systematic-bad-narrative-building .
Such techniques are common and used effectively by western and middle eastern cultures and religions , evangelists and colonists to their advantage.
western racism is very nuanced and sublte due centuries of practise.
"indian indians" should understand and if possible learn " these ugly subtelities wihout waiting centuries, if not for use, atleast to 'see thru' such techniques.
western mind but indian ethnicity researchers are much like the "avatar dream walkers" with one mindset and another ethnic exterior. they will end up educating the world and level out the advantages quickly.
go for it !!
Razib Khan is a true CRITICAL thinker and keen observer, agree with him or not.
Rajib Khan should join Hindu Nationalist group, I like what he is saying!
I saw two videos and couldn't see more than 50 mins. Sounds genuine. But I thought he could have be more precise and less wordy in his views.
@2:38 did he say Jinnah wrote Discovery of India???
His article in 2021 was good but the 2020 one on Brahmins in the US fell short. Good to discuss the hypocricy of American brahmins in blaming the white-right wing but painted too broad a stroke. Talked about 'centuries' of brahmin privilege but never addressed the hateful propoganda in parts of India (ie. Periyar and his campaigns against brahmins). I'm glad he called out the hypocrycy because the Americans he addressed were definitely playing the woke game of getting political points for being oppressed but I think instead the article just reinforced the idea that brahmins are basically white people of India which is a false parallel to draw.
rizab Khan doesn't seem to have heard of Rajiv Malhotra, because that man is exactly the intellectual that can and has spoken to the West on their own terms.
Malhotra is over rated
He talks about him without naming at See at 33:21. The footnote controversy points to Rajiv Malhotra.
malhotra is a not academically trained in the subjects he talks about, that is always a hinderance.
Abhinav sar please invite Rajiv Mishra he is an expert on communism he has done many shows on feminism also toxic feminism he has appeared on Jaipur dialogues many time .
he is not credible. he is the kind who will only say things a certain ideological bent want to hear. nothing challenging or unbiased.
for westerns rajiv malhotra is very beautifully presenting indic views
Who wrote Discover Of India?
