In these boats, it seems who’s ahead at the first cross is a better way of determining who won the start. Great racing.

Winning the start has always been pivotal in match racing UNLESS you have a significant speed advantage.
Watch the power output stat's of ETNZ compared to other competitors on the same tack and you find something rather strange. Her output is often significantly lower despite the obvious effort being put in by her cyclors. Which begs the question, why ? Where is that effort being diverted to and why was so much data withheld from wider scrutiny throughout the series ?
How did ETNZ defy the laws of physics through tacks and accelerate when she hit low pressure patches that should have slowed her down ?
How was she able to manouver so aggressively in light air and stay on the foils ?
Why did her performance advantage mysteriously evaporate in races 5 and 6 ?
Why did her cock sure skipper suddenly drop the aggressive tactics and fall off the foils in conditions that favoured her over INEOS ?
What was that fine white foam turbulence coming from her rudder during manouveres ?
Why did ETNZ state publicly that they HAD to win this series ?
Why the attempted beam ramming of INEOS ?
A collision which, if it had occurred, would have destroyed INEOS hull integrity ?
    Desperation ?
Fear of being easily beaten if the wind strengthened beyond the squirt guns effective range ?
The French entry, a sister hull to ETNZ was entirely lacking in performance compared to INEOS.
People instinctively know when the game is rigged. It leaves a sick sinking feeling in the stomach they cannot quite place. And so it is that the America's cup itself was a huge anti climax after the blistering excitement of the challenger series. ETNZ victory as a result sounded hollow and the guilt ridden faces of its crew was clear for all to see.
Will this travesty go unchallenged or will it stand ? Sandpaper gate did huge reputational damage to Cricket Australia. It will never fully recover from that stain.
This stain ? Maybe time and AI data analysis will expose this mess. But if the shameless gloating is any measure of the secret shame that stalks the Kiwi's collective conscience ?
It will go down in infamy as the greatest cheat in Yachting history.

@joschmoyo4532 Did you know they're eating the cats and dogs in Springfield? I'm starting to think you are Trumps dirty tricks PR person🤔. Oh and you still haven't answered my question to another of your comments and what expertise etc you have to draw these conclusions...........and then....

How did ETNZ get away with blowing compressed air ?
They exploited a safety requirement that mandated CO2 fire extinguishers for the lithium batteries and emergency buoyancy in case of capsize. They also exploited the fixed water ballast requirement and used comp air to pump it around and out the back.
These guys used every dirty trick in the book to boost their performance.
Ever used a CO2 extinguisher ? It's a great way to chill beer quickly and just like carbonated bottles of champagne it's got a serious blast ! Jet boat's.
A Kiwi icon goes full black ops.

It gets funnier and wilder every time, troll commitment 10/10, troll quality, about a 3. Try harder next cup.

I know right ? I mean if your going to cheat to win why go half measures when you can interconnect the pressure tanks of three systems to increase the boost and make it last longer ?
Makes that cheating feeling go so much further and you get to flip the poms a bone knowing they can't protest without the Kiwi's crying like babies to cover their track's and bubble wash. Plus the Aussie's are in on the rigged betting and control the adjudication. Win win.
It's the underarm bowl that keeps on giving.

OK humor me here....what is your experience and qualifications that make you such a technical expert here and.... where is your unequivocal proof, how do you know these bold claims to be true. You keep adding another layer each comment so what's the story?

Look closely at ETNZ stern wake as she turns unusually tightly and you can see the micro bubbles from her rudder as they use the compressed air to blow through the tacks faster without loosing much speed.
That's not cavitation. That's cheating. Talk about a smoking gun.

What this video shows is starts help but a superior boat and crew is what makes a winning team.

      @berniejarvis4010
      Sadly not in this case.
ETNZ advantage only existed in light marginal conditions and is, with the power assist, the only reason they squirted their way to win. The perfectly visible micro bubble CLOUD coming from the CENTER of her rudder prove beyond doubt that she was getting power assist through her tacks and lift where she should be falling behind.
Her ability to turn sharply in marginal winds was a dead give away. Her attempt to beam ram INEOS then bear away so quickly when it failed on timing was classic desperation tactics.
In races 5 and 6 her system failed to operate and she fell off the foils ! In conditions which should have favoured her she got thrashed by INEOS. Because her cheat rudder went US.

@@joschmoyo4532 And yet ETNZ still won with races to spare......🤔

That's the lamest argument for cheating I've ever read. But it says a lot about how the Cup was deserted and interest has fallen off the cliff. Sadly the cup has a long history of dirty tricks. The Kiwi's have adopted that culture created by the Americans.
"Convincing win" is your justification for blowing air out of your stern ? The footage and performance data make it obvious the races were rigged and the defender was diverting pedal power to power assist. Illegal.
Wind power from the sails is the only legal source of propulsion.
Normally cavitation only occurs at speeds in excess of fourty knots. Yet ETNZ rudder was smoking bubbles under the surface way below that speed.
It's in your face. The footage shows it clearly. Not surface wake or splash.

@@berniejarvis4010 What's more, there are bubbles coming from the rudders on all the boats but only ETNZ bubbles are MAGIC BUBBLES!
