Love your videos. I have a book "Killashandra" by Anne McCaffrey
Loved the video. Has anyone told you, you look like Perrie Edwards?
Wow, what a compliment! Thank you! 💗💗💗
Love Irish names. Aisling, Ennis, Keavy, are some of my favorites.
Terrific videos - you are a marvelous teacher and have such a breadth of knowledge of the Irish language and make it so clear and simple to understand and pronounce. Thanks!
I was named after County Clare in Ireland 🥰
I miss home I'm from Dublin, Ireland but live in the USA I plan to visit home home soon with my children show them around and were I grew up. Love your videos.
Aw great! Where in Dublin are you from? Is your name Avoca? Beautiful name!! 💗💗
@@WolfeMomma yes my name is Avoca and from portobello my dad is from the same place as well.
@@WolfeMomma from portobello we moved to Rathmines for the rest of my growing up then I came to the USA
Físeán iontach bean álainn😍♥️😍♥️😍

What your name
long time no see! hope you can update videos more often, haha
Welcome back! Since you posted last I became a mother, and I named my daughter Ylva, a Swedish name meaning (she)wolf (I also love the boy names Varg and Fenris) 😊 Is there a female wolf name in Irish?
Thank you and Congratulations!! Aw, I love the name Ylva, beautiful! Mac tíre (pronounced mac teer) is the name for wolf in Irish - for both male and female. My son is named Wolfe but when he's speaking in Irish he calls himself Mac tíre 😅
@@WolfeMomma Thank you! That's so cool!
I would like to study abroad in Ireland in the future, so I appreciate you giving lots of fun information about Irish culture ;-) from one of normal Japanese uni students
I’m so thrilled you made a video! This was wonderful! ❤️
Thank you so much! 💗💗💗
Tara, Laragh....I've a daughter called Carragh
I love the names "Erin" and "Clare" really pretty names.
Me too, I love those names! 😊 💗💗
I was told the name Shalaidah means female warrior but was also told that it's linked to forest dweller or from the faeries. Do you know which meaning it belongs too? I'm born in England but all my families history up to my grandparents come from Ireland apart from one Norwegian.😊
My family born in Ireland and they named me ShannonLee
Yeah! My name! I recently found out the Irish spelling of my name is Sionainn. Not a super popular name anymore in the US, but I did go to high school with 2 other Shannons, You also got my last name! I believe the original spelling was O'Cuinn
As a guy with the name Shannon this was my experiance when I walked across Ireland. "What's your name?" ... "Shannon"... *pause* "You know that's a girls name don't ya?" I swear I heard that 100 times. Got to a point I would just answer, "Shannon, fuck you, yeah I know it's a girls name." I had so many people laugh and say, "I was just about to say that."
Sionainn O'Cuinn, a very Irish name! 😊 💗 Thanks for watching!
🙈😅 I can imagine that happened a lot! It's only used as a girls name in Ireland but it seems to be popular as a boys name in US/Australia 💗
Such pretty names
I am so excited to see another one of your videos pop up! 🎉 I will watch it after work today. (It is break time right now and I just decided to check UA-cam.) I hope that everyone in your family is doing well. Thank you for creating and posting this. 🙂
Thank you so much!! 💗💗💗
Hey miss your videos, nice to see you back. Hopefully soon, hands in sleeves will be back because you know I love that haha (and hope you still love oversized cardigans).
Thank you! Lol it's nearly oversized cardigan season so they'll be back soon! 😂💗
@@WolfeMomma gotta keep your hands cozy, right?
It is Mamma or Mumma not Momma 😁
Erin is my favorite.
Nice to see you back again. I never knew some of these like Avoca and Killashandra have become baby names, not just place names. One of my cousins, she is named Leigh which I read is a girls name spelling variant of Lee. I also have a cousin on the same side, his name is Shannon.
Thank you! Yeah, I had never heard of Avoca and Killashandra as baby names either until researching for this video, they're pretty unique 😊 Love the name Leigh! Yeah, it seems Shannon is pretty popular as a boys name too, I never knew that! 💗
@@WolfeMommaAs someone who grew up in the ‘90’s as a huge grunge fan, Shannon was popularised back then by the singer from Blind Melon - Shannon Hoon
There's nothing that's not beautiful in Ireland. I've spent time there 4 times over the last 20 years. Yes, Kerry is gorgeous. The cliffs, the Burren, the Beehive huts...talk about magic! I love Dublin, although it must be very different now than 20 years ago. Can't wait to go back again.
Yay!! My name is there!!! The gh was dropped and a fada added to the first a in my name. Apparently that’s the NI way of spelling it?
I love the name Kenna, but would love to spell it with a C (I know a lot of Gaelic c words sound like k). What would that look like?
Welcome back
Thank you so much!! 💗💗💗
Could you please tell me how popular the name Sadhbh is in Ireland? Also is that the most common spelling of the name? It has a beautiful meaning but the spelling might be a challenge if you live outside of Ireland. Does anyone in Ireland spell it Sive?
"Tara" also means a "Star" in Hindi (an Indian language)
Aw, I love that! 💗💗
I hope the village of Bree has an Inn of the Prancing Pony 😃
Glad to see you back! Caught my attention when you said Arbutus because there’s a hotel in Killarney called Arbutus. Maybe there was a grove there too?
Oh yeah! Makes sense, I think Arbutus grows in Killarney too! Thanks so much for watching 😊 💗
@@WolfeMommaI grew up in Cork and there used to be a well known hotel on the North Side called the Arbutus Lodge. (We used to go to hops (dances) there). The hotel is closed now and converted to apartments but I hope the arbutus trees are still there. Also, I worked with a girl from County Waterford who was called Clodagh.
Tara has a very nice candy shop😊
Are you single
Love these videos!
Thank you!! 💗💗💗
yeahhh you are back!
