Northern Tool delivered a damaged Swisher mower Jan. 27th. I asked for an immediate return that same day. Yesterday (April 4) , Northern Tool finally said a truck would come today (April 5) to pick up the damaged product. However, no truck came, and no one phoned me about the delay. Northern Tool is disappointing. Swisher is disappointing in being negligent about the lack of responsibility in partnership with Northern Tool.
I ordered directly from Swisher, and didn't have any trouble. I think northern tool is similar to harbor freight and yes, I can understand your frustration there...
How is the battery held in place? It looks like the cover has rubber on it to hold the battery in place but I don't think I would trust that with all the vibration. (Or is the rubber to make sure the battery terminals don't short out to the metal cover?) Does the battery bounce around when in use? Looks like wires are right next to battery and could be easily damaged by a bouncing battery. Second question - what is the rubber bungee cord on the tongue used for? Third question - did you mount the control on the ATV or just mount it on the mower itself? (I am leery of the cable being damaged if the hitch comes loose which I have heard has happened.)
@@Polaris425 Thanks - I guess I will have to trust the battery will sit there without damaging the wires. Based on boating (and ATV and auto) battery setups - most batteries are held in place better than simply sitting in a open box.
@@deanjohnson334 The difference here, you shouldn't be bouncing this thing around like a boat or ATV. The battery is inside a enclosed metal box, and can be strapped down. It ain't going anywhere.
Great review. We are ordering one of those later this week.
You have a nice looking property.
Thanks again.

It has a metal cover, the battery sits down in a box in front of the motor.
