That is such a good concept for a shop. I was hoping for a bit of English rose 🌹 from you there Dom. I can only play the F...G....A bit to lady Madonna haha. I enjoyed that you should do more of that. Playing instruments from the actual artists. It's very interesting.

Hi Anton, yeah that’s a brilliant idea! I’ll look into that. Sadly, I’m very limited on the piano, however I could certainly do a Uke tutorial for English Rose😊👍🏻

@@GetStrumming there's some complicated chord names in that tune Dom. Is there any of your ukuele songs with a C/B in bass or a G/B in the bass for me to have a look at. Like if you where playing "for no one" on guitar you would play C....then C/B them Am but your tutorial you play a G which works. If you could help me that would be great.

@@anton5479 you know what, Anton I was only explaining this to my group the other day. As you said, in For No One you would indeed play a descending bass from C to B to A to G to F to Bb and back to C. On guitar you may go from a C chord to a C/B (a C chord with a B in the bass) Am then an Am/G (an A minor with a G in the bass) F, Bb and back to C. Because you don’t have the bottom two bass strings (5th and 6th) you do on a standard guitar sometimes you have to be more creative with the chord you use as some of the chords without bass notes may not sound right. Incidentally, when I started learning the Uke (which I still am!) I found it interesting that a chord formation could be both two chords, such as Am7 and C6 or Em7 and G6. It’s the note in the bass which helps determine the chord such as the Am7/C6 chord shape on the Uke would have a A in the bass to make it an Am7 or a C in the bass to make it a C6.
I’ll find some other songs to illustrate this for another video later.👍🏻👍🏻

@@GetStrumming yeah totally get you. Play all strings open on the uke and it's an Am7 but when I play live forever by oasis. G...D....Am7 I have to play a Am cause I don't think it sounds like an Am7 chord. Will look forward to your examples. Gives me some5hing to do mate as I'm still dizzy with vertigo.
