Man, seeing that Ram Charger brings back memories! My Dad bought one brand new in 1985 when I was 6 years old, it had a 5.9l 360ci and a 4 on the floor. I can remember going everywhere with my old man in that truck!

If you guys took a green Scotch pad and drug it from front to back on that flat black it would look super smooth. It would make the Dart look completely different.
DUDE, that ATM Carburetor is something fierce!!! It's cool seeing the Old Man Tuning the Old School Dodge to really rip. It looks so fun driving the Dart around, so lucky!!!
Some 2000 grit wet sanded over the dart would clean up all those spray can marks. It looks killer though! and sounds amazing. Cant wait to see it making some passes.
@Tommy Hoskinson & Allison take some scotch bright to the paint on the dart making it look flat. Only go in one direction back and forth will make the car look so much better
That ram charger must have nitrous on the window motors. Damn lol. And I hit my head on the headboard when Jeff opened the mustang door and asked Bill if he was still “here”.😂
"Wonders like the Good Year Blimp" Thats a understatement. The memory steering issues on these things was EPIC. I bought one of these (Ram Chargers) that was pretty well "Broken in" For a hunting truck. All the hunting I got done the first year I owned it. Was hunting for steering parts to try and keep it in one lane. In the end I ended up replacing EVERYTHING from the Steering column to the hubs. And everything in between. Including the steering box, Twice.
My ex boss had a ram charger and we built and installed 8 15” sub woofers behind the seat 24-28 hi’s an mid’s all rockford fozgate for his car stereo shop back in 80’s… those where the days❤ tunes hot rods and freedom. I had a 1981 z-28 with T-tops and retromod 1969 camaro that i learned to work on and street race. All were blue except for my 1983 honda night hawk

Jeff, I had a ‘78 RamCharger for my 2nd vehicle. 400 big block, automatic. Had the removable top. Granted it took 4 people to help take it off. Loved that thing. Great low mileage/survivor find.
Tommy and Allison not sure you if you want to. But if you water sanded dart with 1000 grit sandpaper would get rid of the modelling look on side of Dart.
BASE ISLE RESET will fix pops problems in the FOX Also check the voltage of the IAC/ TPS 1. Disconnect your negative on your battery to clear/reset your computers memory. caution when ever you disconnect your battery remove the negative first then positive, reconnect in the reverse order, if you dont you can possibly cause a battery explosion or destroy your computer. Leave your battery disconnected for at least 30 mins to let the capacitors in the ECM to discharge fully. 2. Disconnect the IAC connector. 3. Reconnect your battery. 4. Start the motor, with the IAC plug disconnected. 5. Set your idle, via the stop plate screw on the throttle body, between 650-850 rpms, it is best to set it at the lowest setting to prevent idle problems, such as surging, rolling etc. 6. Turn the motor off and reconnect the plug on the IAC. 7. Start the motor at let it run for 2-4 mins at idle with all accessories off, if the motor stalls out or the idle drops to low repeat steps 4-6. 8. Once your idle is good, turn the motor off and wait 2 mins, then start it back up and run for another 2 mins with all accessories on. 9. Check your TPS voltage. It should be at .98v if not refer below on how to set it. 10. If your idle and TPS are good, allow 10-20 mins to let the computer "relearn" under normal driving conditions. How to check and set your TPS Note to check and set your TPS the key must be turned on without the motor running, this also may require a second person. To do this you will need to set your voltmeter to 20 volts dc, then take your negative lead on the voltmeter and pierce the coating on the black wire(SIGRTN) and with the positive lead pierce the green wire coating (TPS signal) side note the orange wire is VREF. The voltage between black and green wires should be .98v if not you will have to adjust it to .98v. To do this if you dont have an adjustable TPS. Loosen the 2 philips head screws on the tps and play with it to avoid unnecessary drilling, if you cannot get it to .98v without drilling, drill out on hole on the TPS (when i did this i drilled the hole closest to the front of the car not the one closest to the firewall), NOT your throttle body, just enough to move it to .98v. Once your TPS is at .98 carefully tighten the screw down that you didnt drill, then recheck the black and green wires for .98v, then tighten down the screw that you did drill, tighten down both screws, check the black and green wires for .98v if its at .98v still you are good.
So happy for Allison and Tommy on getting the Dart done, Jeff that Ramcharger is gorgeous, your pops and that Mustang are hilarious. Can’t wait for racing season.
I want more info on the Red and white SS/AA Hemi Mopar in for updates in his shop, (One of my favorite Class Car Combos ever!) And he picked the right friend to do the updates.

Nice Ramcharger. Tell Jeffffffff to watch the tailgate on it. I had one and it cracked at the top in the middle. Was very expensive to have it fixed and repainted. Mine was two tone blue. Not a 4WD but I did not need that anyway. Really liked it until the tailgate cracked.
I loved my Ramcharger! I drove it all over the country and the only thing I ever had to do is a new radiator. The 360 ripped and would tow about anything. 247000 miles later I sold it. It still is a daily to this day.
A cobra nose and ground effects would help the airflow through the radiator and replace all the "custom" broken and clearanced factory ground effects on the old man's old mustang...not to mention looking so much better.
I had an 1985 if it sat ,the brakes would always stick and drag some. just drove it and was ok, so the Prospector Had all the Heavy trim all around , and when you left truck outside and then went to wash truck all the trim was holding debris . i think that was a major downfall of it, but so roomy! lol and dont foret when you put the Rear hatch up you can turn the hatch Hinge and turn the Interior light out , and back on. another place that held rust is all in the front , around front of and under radiator, and oh the ROOF HATCH will begin to leak. oh never raise hood by the RAMS HEAD! IT BREAKS
If you want to undo the having to push the clutch pedal take the plug off the back of the pedal and put a fuse in the plug. It's a trick I learned a long time ago. It's how I got my 87 setup. And sounds like you need a bigger fan for the radiator. Ow and use a 10 amp fuse.
Ow and I'm pretty sure I know why you are having the hard starting problem. So when you swap from a stick to a auto you also have to do a swap on the transmission wire I've had this problem when I did a A9l upgrade on the ECU it should fix the problem. It sounds like they used a ECU for a stick shift and that would be the problem with the hard starting. You can swap the ECU to a auto ECU but that's a headache you have to swap around some wires in the plug for the ECU it's easier to just replace the plug wire for the transmission.
@@jodycook9877 Ya but the original ECU is still in the car hooked up to everything else to make everything else work. I'd bet money on it it's the same setup mine has.
@@jodycook9877 The Holly ECU only controls that part of the car is what I'm saying. All the other original wiring is still in the car that's why he still has to push in the clutch pedal to start the car.

That dodge is a classic u.s. muscle truck! A real vehicle, with steel, glass, power windows, buttons to operate, analog radio and equalizer, handle held 4x4 lever and authentic interior! Damn good purchase. 👍🏼✌🏼
